New: Youngest Female Billionaire at 30. Huh! You Go Girl.

Women keep raising the bar. First we had Sara Blakley, (the Spanx lady), now we have Elizabeth Holmes. Another college dropout turned billionaire (College dropouts turned billionaire - has to be a record too). Billionaire and college dropout is starting to be the new normal. She replaced Sara Blackley as the youngest woman billionaire ever. And get this, her goal wasn't to make money but to help people. That's new!

So, she discovered a simple niche she acted on first (including industry insiders) and sha-zam! It's one of those "why didn't I think of that"? ideas -- that makes you slap your forehead.

Incredible overnight success story, right? Nope.

While young women her age worried about getting boyfriends, The Kardashians and the latest episodes of Dancing with the Stars, she toiled and labored in secret for 10 years.

Now She's running a 9 billion dollar company.

Is this the beginning of a paradigm shift in thinking?

Do you think we'll see more glass ceiling shattering women like her?

Here's her inspiring story.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Ha, Ha -- It's just "something" about them that grabs my attention. I'll let you know when I figure it out.

Note: Especially the one's who achieve against the odds.

GIVE ME A BREAK! There are some women that make a FORTUNE in things they are FAR better at or have a FAR better chance, than men. Even OPRAH! I mean SURE men have been successful, but Oprah tapped into the woman's market with so much ease, etc....

As for dresses and makeup, I am surprised men have done as well as they have. I COULD say more to THAT though! Ever see "what women want"? Take away the idea of a guy magically knowing what all women are thinking, and it might as well have been a DOCUMENTARY!

          Bad example steve.

She had a ton of help and almost went under a bunch of times.
There was no "ease" in her story.

Lots of backbone and true grit.

I only heard of her having help from ONE guy really. I am shocked she had trouble. I could name lots of others, even in the exercise field, etc... A lot, and perhaps all, women think differently, from men, and the best one to go after that market is a woman. HECK, in the example HERE, with Spanx, do you think a man would have done as well? I was SHOCKED when I found that the limited and curves were started by men. But I think they keep a low profile, and you can bet they got a lot of help from females. "the limited" has a subsidiary called "limited too" that goes after the tween girl market.

Considering I don't know what spanx are ....

The only reason I know about oprah is "E - behind the story."

and ... I know a producer that worked with her in the late 80's.

I could have SWORN the olsen twins were richer. Oh well, nobody can dispute that they are RICH, and ****YOUNG****! They are ANCIENT now, compared to how old they WERE, MAN, I had NO idea how OOOOOOOOOOLD they were! They are TWENTY EIGHT years old now!

But Mary Kate and ashley basically owned a company since they were like BABIES! TODAY, that company has a whole line of branded things. So sara is a jane come lately! And what about Bindi Irwin? SHE has a line of videos, etc.... Apparently SHE is doing well.

To those that take umbrage at my saying they are old. That is only to make a point. If they were twice as old, they would be only a bit older than I am.

That's what makes ALL the difference: HELPING PEOPLE. Those who devote their time and energy in helping others out of their problems, end up being rich. But those who chase money, well, they end up just chasing it and probably they wouldn't get it.

    Cheers for an encouraging info

    TNM,

There's no such thing as a "glass ceiling" as an Entrepreneur....

The term "glass ceiling" relates specifically to women in "Corporate America" who get hired, raises and promotions based on their bosses' whims......

Entrepreneurs are not subject to these limitations.... They make as much as the Market is willing to pay them...

Granted, there are a few businesses where being a male Entrepreneur would give you an "advantage" over a female Entrepreneur...

Then, again, there are a few businesses where being a female Entrepreneur would give you an "advantage" over a male Entrepreneur...
