Today, Roger Federer won his 15th major.

So, is he the greatest of all time?

I think he is but I am sure there are many arguments to be made for past
greats.

Would love to hear yours.

    Hi Steven...welcome back,

The greatest player of all "past" times...meaning from the beginning of the sport...up to today? Yes...easily

But if your statement includes the future...it's my belief that "the greatest" has yet to be born.

My favourite player of all time is Anthony Wilding. Who is he?

Hint: Sampras was the first person to break Wilding's record

Failing that It's got to be Rod Laver. Why did Federer cry when he lost the Australian open? My pick is that's the one he really wanted to win (in front of Laver). Federer is very much a keen historian of the game and Laver is his hero.

In saying all of that, the fact's and stats don't lie. Federer is the greatest player the modern era. Just not my favourite

He certainly has more major titles than anyone else.

Too bad there's no way of actually finding out for sure.
