Recommend hotels in Thailand

I am tentatively looking at spending most of December in Pattaya to get away from the wet dreary UK weather and concentrate on getting my online biz projects going.

I would be flying into BK and prob stay for a few days and then go to Pattaya to be near the beach.

Looking for suggestions on inexpensive single room hotels / apartments in both areas, must have good broadband. I have browsed on the travel sites and there are hundreds of hotels so I know there are tons of choices it would just be nice to get first-hand recommendations.

    I follow JC's videos on Thailand. Here are some of his Pattaya videos. They are a little older but they give locations and names of some places to check out and ideas on pricing.

    More importantly, they will expand your thinking a bit.

      Thanks for the tip on JC and his Thailand vids, there's some useful info there.

      What I was hoping for specifically is info on hotels known to have good wifi or lan broadband, which JC doesn't seem too concerned about :-) (broadband never mentioned in the videos I have seen so far). I need to be able to get online reliably at any time.
