What did you do? Where did you go? Mode of transportation?

What did you learn, or enjoy, or find?

Without looking, do you know what a flâneur is?

Shopping for Kafka with the Wall Street oracle turned aphorist and self-described flâneur.

"The flâneur goes to the bookstore not knowing what he's going to buy; that's the whole point. "
I like Nassim Taleb. I picked up "flâneur" from Tim Ferriss' interview with Rolf Potts.

    yeah,

it`s rarely used in that sense in actual french.

    Tu es un flaneur.

means you`re lazy. Like a student that is in a science lab and looks outside for 30 minutes.

NOPE, I am not a lounger. But they seem to define it, INCORRECTLY through:

“The flâneur goes to the bookstore not knowing what he’s going to buy; that’s the whole point. "

MOST of the time I go to the bookstore, or even a library, it is WITH the idea that I won't know what to read. I won't say much more there except that it at least USED to be about the best way to learn some things. Without even opening a book, or even touching one, I learned a lot. ALAS, selections have gotten smaller, and so much is on line, and the companies I used to LOVE where either local(I moved), or managed to close.
