I didn't watch the video Tim (got Tarkus blasting at the moment), but the video title sums up my feelings about the news lately. Well always actually.

I don't know WHY they call it BULL.... when it is CLEARLY BEAR....! But yeah, the government can simply control the borders, and similar things, so we don't end up with 400M+ people, and keep the wilderness, as they promised SO long ago, and more bears can live in peace! Thepopulation and building has grown a LOT, so OF COURSE bears, and others, are going to have more encounters.

Just agreeing that it happens a bit. YEAH, I wouldn't state every little occurrence, and they probably aren't, but it is representative of OTHER problems. They have to live SOMEWHERE!

The video speaks of congress planning to relocating them. I wonder how many just find their way back. Bears DO like human food, and they might even like it better than fish. If they want to waste money on studies, THAT is a study that might make sense! Which do bears prefer? RAW FISH? COOKED FISH? PEANUTBUTTER AND JELLY SANDWICHES? DING DONGS?

Cereal. Researchers placed some misc foods in a semi-circle in the wild, including salmon, and the brown bear sniffed them all and chose the cereal.

In another instance, a black bear broke into a cabin and ate everything, except the canned sour krout.

Exactly WHAT drugs are you on, Steve? Did you watch this whole thing and, if so - how come you think it's about a bear? I'm gonna have a tangent at you guy.

Get up and get away from the computer. Do you realize how your brain is working? You click on one keyword out of a whole page of thoughts that build a premise or story -- and run with the keyword. You're almost like clicking on google for a keyword on a page of text - never reading the page, just clicking the highlighted keywords.

Go back to the video and watch the whole thing and find the meaning that all of the pics and sentences are leading up to and discuss the total meaning. Hint - this story was not about the bear -- at all.

I don't know! Maybe it is because they showed a bear at various points, around the city. MAYBE it is because they showed a bear fishing! Maybe it was because the video showed they wanted to capture and sedate "THE BEAR". The "random expert" opened a book that had a picture of a bear, and showed a graph showing the incidence of bears in non bear friendly environments.

OK, let me detail this for you! This might not even have been a fake story. I was referring to the story, IN THE VIDEO THE SHOWED, which DOES HAPPEN! YOU all seem to be caught up in the onion misreading the comments(real or not, they were misread), and talking about how the story is bull because they always talk about common events likethey are breaking news, and have the same basic format.

Give me a break. OK, they DID show a "random picture of congress"

GIVE ME A BREAK! I knew it was about overreporting, etc... I thought I had mentioned that part, but didn't. OH WELL. I could blast you for doing the same. And YEAH, I have seen the onion. Sometimes they even seem t take a story and just switch the names. That part about people getting so much from the government, when they happened to be part of the royal family may have been an onion piece.

    Steve,

Did you happen to notice the "Onion News Network" logo in the lower right? Even if you missed it from the narration, that should have been a clue that this wasn't actual news being reported.

YEAH! HECK, they were reporting one "story" over another story. YEAH, I noticed the onion in the CNN type logo, with the replaced with an onion. I DID put a number of in. SO WHAT? Bears HAVE gone into cities and ARE sometimes on the news.

You expect me to not notice that they just talked about BS and then figured I missed the onion. NOPE! I noticed that right off the bat.

First of all, for paul, YEAH, I noticed one was from the "onion southern....", etc... And YEAH, I have known about the onion for YEARS, and even mentioned it here a long time ago.

But they are WRONG! Common Core is starting to bias things in favor of those that don't care. Just have an excuse, show your work, and they will probably pass you, and your parents won't even know which ones you got wrong, or why, unless of course it is like a simple problem spelled out like 2+2=X, and you simply say 5. Then again, 4 is WRONG here, and they will think it is right! SOUNDS like it is from the onion, but it ISN'T. And HEY, several years ago they said, IN THE ONION, that the onion was sold to a Chinese company. Who knows, but companies like MSNBC have reporters from a company that is owned by RUSSIA(AKA RT).

That's closer, Steve. The video is about sensationalizing every little thing that happens even when it's a normal occurrence. The bear is merely an example of the principle, it's not the story. It's not about us building animals out of their environments. It's about how sensational the press makes it sound that someone sited a bear in a neighborhood that is very obviously wooded.

There ya go. You still converse like a complete engineer head. LOL.

YEP, that is what I said.

But there were TWO stories! OK, if you push it, THREE! The one containing the most content was about bears coming into areas where people don't want them. The SECOND one was about things LIKE the bear story being so common that it wasn't worth reporting, but they report it to fill the airspace. The THIRD story, part of the other two, was about congress meeting to relocate wildlife.

And YEAH, one could get a kick out of how they pretended to read comments, and they were totally different. Does anyone see the irony about how a site that does noting but spread weird variants of the news, or just makes stuff up 100% has such things complaining about reporting news based on priorities used to fill out the airspace as opposed to how worthy the news was to report?

I guess this is like the neverending story. YEAH, I knew the kid was reading the book, and became part of the story, but I liked the story. And you are condemning me because I didn't say he was reading a book.

It WOULD be nice if they could report only what a particular viewer was not aware of at the time. Then again, YOU, ABOVE ALL, should realize how such a technology could be abused. YIKES! They explain a LOT that I have long known, but sometimes I am left googling something that they assume everyone knows because it was on the news all day, and I missed it, or it is some popculture thing, that I am not interested in.

Yes, most of what is on free to air could be classified as BS!

Trying to spin yet another David Attenborough series on freakin wildlife!!!!

I know the camera crews are talented, but how many times can we watch a bear and her cubs grabbing a fish?

Sitcoms with people laughing in the background, eventhough most if not all of them are dead and gone!

Or some 20 year old idiot that goes to the worst or coldest place on earth, and makes a doc, about it!

If this twit went to a tropical island for a week, then l might watch it, but freakin Russia, in winter, in some depressing town?

No, unless l am lucky, 1 hour per week is all l do on tv, most of what l watch is on my Laptop!

Apparently Foxtel is $25 a month, and FT is the main reason why tv is so dead.

As I explained, I KNEW it was an onion piece, and KNEW that they were poking fun. In a way, I was poking fun by saying that the commenters were right! The government SHOULD do something, and I said so and how. HECK, I spoke about THAT before. It isn't a new idea, and kind of goes along with what Heysal was saying about overpopulation. I ALSO spoke about onion before. I knew it was the onion! I KNEW they were talking about how someone was reporting on a COMMON OCCURANCE that everyone likely knew about but reported the common event ONLY to fill dead air.

      GEE,I can't win.

NICE TRY! I MIGHT have done this if the sound were off. But the sound was on. I heard it. I knew what was going on. And even if the sound were off, I would recognize it was the onion. The ONLY times I have seen the onion put out a legitimate story was when they got lazy and decided to merely switch the names. They did that once with a political piece where they said the republicans did what the democrats did and vice versa. HERE, they didn't even say something like the humans were encroaching on the bears territory and the bears filed a restraining order.
