Using kids as 'Climate Cops' has an Orwellian feel

Yeah, you heard it right: The Hitler Youth movement is alive and well again. This time, the mission is to 'save the planet'.

Kids in Brittain are being 'enlisted' by Npower (a British power company), to start documenting 'climate crimes' their families and relatives commit.

A partial list:

Putting food in the refrigerator too quickly (yes, let's all get food poisoning for mother earth)

Using incandesent light bulbs instead of cfl's (break one of these babies, and you have a four figure mercury cleanup bill)

Falling asleep with the TV on

Leaving a cell phone charger plugged in

Anyone feel like it's 1935 again?

    Sorta reminds me of the D.A.R.E. program here.
    They tell the kids to tell them if their parents do drugs so they can 'help' them.
    Instead the go in and arrest their asses and throw the kids in foster care.

      So that is how that works. And all this time I thought they were just telling kids 'just say no'.

      I prefer the D.E.A.D. program 'to keep kids on tour'. :p

        You got to keep them busy and that's a good way

        DARE did a study years ago they tried to hide.
        It showed that only 20% of the kids that didn't go through DARE ended up doing drugs while 80% of the kids that went through program did.
        I guess they never figured out that explaining the effects of drugs to kids is like a car salesman telling you about the features of a new car.

          The stupid thing is that they don't tell the kids to turn off the lights, etc!
          Let's raise another generation who think they should be waited on with no responsibilities of their own.

          If I had kids reporting what I did - they'd never have a chance to turn in their notes because they would be grounded for life.

            Yeah DARE is virtual Nazi training. After my sister's kid was exposed to DARE at school she came home and told my sister that if she caught her dad smoking a joint again she was calling the police........then a friend of hers who was in the same DARE class in school called the police on her own mother to "help" her. The cops came in arrested mom, took everything the family owned and separated the kids - one to each foster home, where the girl was treated like cinderella by "mom" and free live porn by "dad". She eventually ran away from the foster care and wound up in a juvenile detention center. Mom eventually gets out of jail and refuses to ever speak to daughter again.
            Your government in action to "help" citizens and solidify families.

            At least my sister's kid got a quick deprograming.

              Schools do the same thing: If your mom hits you, tell us and we will "help" mom (or PROTECT YOU). Charge the parent with child abuse for spanking a child and put the kids in foster homes.

              That's been the tactic for the last 20 or so years. To get the kids to "report" on the parents for the child brokers (foster care and adoption) in this country.

              Did any of you see "The Green Mile", hurting each-other with our love? Using love as a weapon? That mom who never spoke to her daughter again. I understand where she is coming from....but we have to keep in mind that our children were manipulated. They didn't have the tools to see through the schemes of the system. THEIR MOTIVE was love for their parents...NEVER to hurt.

                It's not just the kids, normal citizens are also being recruited as unpaid volunteers to the local governments for the purposes of tipping off about their neighbours for bad recycling efforts:

                  I cannot believe our populations have become so stupid that people fall for this after seeing Hitler come so close to taking down the world. I think the guy in the comments on your Link, Paul, had it right. We all should have just left the planes on the ground because the outcome hasn't changed one whit.

                  People who comply with authorities to snoop on others 1. need to get a life of their own 2. Start wearing swastickas on armbands so they can proudly show off who they have become and what they stand for.

                      Programs like DARE are nothing but brainwashing of our youth. Children will believe just about anything an adult tells them, especially if it's a teacher who is saying it.
                      Except with DARE it's the cops teaching the kids.
                      I read the curriculum before I refused to let my kids go.
                      What was sad was they where dead on on the effects of drugs like Heroin and Chrystal. But really blew it when it came to cannibis (big surprise).
                      When kids see their older siblings and parents smoking herb and actually see the effects and then the cops lie about the effects the kids see that.
                      They figure if they're lieing about herb they must be lieing about Coke, and Chrystal, and Heroin.
                      I taught my kids about drugs based on my experiences and other real life experiences. None of my kids have ever had any type of drug problem and they now range in age from 20 to 38.

                              What makes you say these people are Ron Paul/Alex Jones types?

                              These people were just documenting their experiences of a society changing in a radical way. Dude, if you think its OK for your kids to be trained to tell what you are doing to the police...thats great! Most people aren't like that.

                              Do you really think this is acceptable behaviour by the servants of government? I mean, really, honestly...you like this??

                              MAYBE what Ron Paul and Alex Jones have been saying for a long time IS HAPPENING in peoples lives...NOW.

                              Most people cant see the disintigration of the society and its values...until they experience this type of thing directly...and more and more people are...and those of us old enough, realize that this isnt how it was a while ago.

                              If you aren't worried by the direction things are going in your are either not paying attention, wilfully ignorant or your dad married his cousin.

                              If you understand politics, economics, history or sociology to any degree, how can you NOT see bright red flashing warning signs. They're literally EVERYWHERE!

                              The types that are present here are the types that believe in personnel freedoms.
                              It's bad enough our government has passed "idiot" laws like the seatbelt and motorcycle helmet laws, but to brainwash our children and neighbors into snitching is going way to far. Of course with all the other stupid crap our government does it's no surprise.

                              By the way I call those "idiot laws" because if you need a law to tell you wearing a seatbelt or helmet is a good idea, well you're an idiot.
