So! Here in the States it will be tDay tomorrow. Spending time with family? Work? Enjoy the holidays? etc.etc.etc.

In my family, we'll visit my dad and eat at the Chinese buffet most likely. How 'bout yours?

Sadly we won't be having this to celebrate tomorrow but I do wish everyone that is celebrating a very Happy Thanksgiving and to eat, drink and be merry which I'm sure you'll all manage.

I'm on my own for the holiday this year, so no telling what I'll do yet. Had an invite that I cordially passed up because I might just want to crash out and watch some movies. I usually eat grilled cheese and tomato soup on Tday when I'm on my own. My late SO and I used to both work in tourism and so we'd ditch Tday for that and then do the turkey thing on our next days off. The tradition stuck with me unless I'm going to be with other family.

Just a spammer Richard - I already reported it.

You can celebrate thanksgiving over there, too, ya know. All you have to do is eat until you're miserable then watch sports on TV.

Actually I get quite jealous about Thanksgiving. It's almost like you lot get two Christmas days. I mean that in a nice way, I wish we had it too. Sadly I'll be at work but I'll go to the pub at lunch and get as close to a nice roast dinner as I can on a weekday, then I'll watch cat video's on YouTube in the afternoon to substitute for the sport of which there won't be much on a Thursday afternoon here.

Oh well, only a month until Christmas. Incidentally your description of Thanksgiving is the same as my Christmas day except I'd substitute the word miserable with 'very merry' and I'd replace 'watch sports on TV' with 'Watch lots of Bond films and the last night before Christmas' yet again.

We were going to spend Thanksgiving with the old folks in Atlanta but decided to stay home.... Travelling here at TG is a nightmare.
Actually left it late, have to pop out in a min to pickup the Turkey and other nick nacks...

I tell you what, if you ever come back over the pond I'll show you an absolutely incredible place to have a Sunday roast with the best yorkshires.

The sad part is Thanksgiving falls on a Thursday so my chances of getting the Sunday roast are slim. Nevertheless, I will try and I'll raise a pint across the pond in your honour.

Normally I spend Turkey day with my mother, step-dad, and the siblings, but everyone is going out of town this year. I've been invited to two dinners, but decided that I'm going to pass. I'm going straight to the casino to watch some football, gamble, and have some brewskies. My girlfriend wants to come with me, but I'm not sure I want her tagging along. Hahahaaha

We host Turkey Day at my house. I'm currently resting up before I spend roughly the next 24 hours cooking.

    A little of everything today.

Last night I prepared the stuffing. This morning I stuffed the 21 pound bird and it's now in the oven.

Meantime I spent about an hour and a half with my lead programmer on my project, doing some testing, etc.

In a little while, after the Macy's parade on TV, I'll prepare the rest of the feast. We're having just family this year - the in laws, my father, my two adult sons, etc. so it will be quiet and pleasant.

But for the next hour, I think I'll play some COD on the Xbox. Been a while...

    Happy Thanksgiving all!

Son and Grandson were out at dawn to meet friends to kill some poor skeets (). Daughter-in-law and I will show up at the friends house later for a huge dinner. Taters are peeled, eggs are devilished, birds will be fried outside Southern style.

Well, the birds are done, the sweet potato casserole is warming, the dressing is ready to go, and the Hassleback potatoes are in the oven. Everything else was made yesterday and just needs warmed. The wife is retracing my steps to clean up my mess and I'm down for a cocktail or three before guests arrive in about a half hour.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone...and that includes our foreign friends who are still at work.

Nonsense, I got home hours ago. I just stood up in the pub as I did last year to toast those across the pond. Everyone stood up, we all necked what we had and the landlords dog even stood up too. I'm off home for dinner shortly which sadly won't be the culinary delights being dished up over there but I sincerly hope everyone gets thoroughly full up and rather merry too.

Have a good one from over here and post some pictures, especially you Dan, I want to see what you've cooked.
