Now this is amazing.

When cars were first built, some guys (like the Stanley Steamer brothers) tried to adopt existing locomotive tech for the horseless carriage, i.e. steam-powered automobiles. But, it was really new tech that made the car work, i.e. the internal combustion engine.

I think the tech that makes cars/vehicles of the future work won't be too close to the internal combustion engine. I think it will be something like hydrogen full cells which power crank shafts with hydraulics or magnets. Then very little, if any, combustion is required, at least not involving fossil fuels.

$60k or $500/mo lease ain't bad for this technology. I'm impressed.
