I can't believe the skiing people do now. I started skiing when I was six and never imagined the
stuff they do now.

Yes, I love going skiing. I thrill at the sight of all those young and reckless daredevils risking life and limb on impossible slopes, while I sip on my fifth gluhwein relaxing on the sunny balcony of the mountain restaurant.

And when I've had enough action, I take the lift back down to the resort.

That was absolutely insane! Kudos to him for making that run without incident, as it was extremely dangerous! I only do steep if I have lots - and I mean lots - of room to traverse. But when I say "steep", I'm not talking anywhere close to 85 degrees!!

I've been heli-skiing once, up at Whistler, B.C. Would love to do it again, as there's truly nothing like it. However, none of the runs we did looked anything like that one!!!

That clip was a great distraction for a minute, and has puffed me up with bravado. Now I'm getting back to my game of tiddlywinks. My daughter is 2-0 up.

      Frank,

You always quack me up. LOL.

Speaking of Copper Mountain, they have such a balcony as you describe.
Non-skiing parents can watch their kiddoes. This year they are making
you buy a meal to stay on the balcony.

That is in southwest Alaska - scouted by helicopter. Interesting interview, too.

Did you all notice that there were already other tracks? Crazing. (New word for crazy, amazing.)

I thought the tracks were made by the first guy down - the close up that showed the tracks being of a second guy. I thought there were two of them, now I have to go view it again.

I used to like to sit and have cocktails over at Arapaho and listen to the skiiers scream when they came over that one hill and saw they were moguling into a rock field. LMAO. Then we'd listen for the sirens and see how long it took the ambulance to get there.
