    I saw an article about seasonal running water the other day, too, Shawn. I thought of you then got side tracked and don't know where it went.

    It did say the water would not be drinkable for humans since it would have a far too high sulfuric content, but it's H2O based water. It runs during the first part of summer when the ice is melting, so those dry creek beds might actually be creeks in late spring - however, I'm not sure from the article if there is enough to actually fill them. Seems like if it shows in fingers running downhill, there should be enough to do so.

      Thankyou Sal, post it here if you find it, there are a few hard nosed skeptics that need to be dislodged from the Mars is lifeless crap, or doesn't have liquid water on the surface!

      And don't take too long, l have found credible articles like that don't last long, especially if NASA posted it!

      High surphuric acid, eh, microbes thrive in those environments on Earth near volcanic activity!

      It looks like Martian rivers, streams, etc are valid!



      PS pity l couldn't find something else on Mars, it has been a bit of a dead end of late!

        There are bacteria and such all over earth that do and eat incredible things. They've found plastic eating bacteria here that may be able to be used to take care of that plastic continent we're building in the Atlantic. A lot of people don't realize, either, that bacteria are responsible for turning ore into gem quality gold.

        If there's water up there, and methane, there's more than likely at least bacteria alive. We have bacteria that became encased in salts and is dormant but still alive after a million years. So - what if something killed most of Mars (probably the lack of plate tectonics, which recycle crust and make for a self-replenishing atmostphere), and the bacteria survived? If they find a way to make a self sustaining atmosphere, they might be able to get the planet to hold life again.

            That methane means one of two things. 1. biological life 2. Geologically live planet. Either way it's quite a surprise and has some broad implications, so those sudden spikes were really startling either way.

            Jeez, Dan - you write a book on a subject, subtracting the one interest value of that subject? Is your next book "how NOT to build a product"?
