Apparently, there's a disco club made just for kids. Maybe they're playing Kidz Bop music here. Now this generation would say, "I was partying and drinking when I was still 7."

I think it's a good idea. Kids love to dance before they are old enough to be shy and it's extremely healthy exercise. Beats plunking them down in front of a TV or computer in about every way in the world.

Not to mention that it's in the "Meatpacking District", too? New York might be the only city in the world with a specifically designated "meatpacking district"? (Even in Uruguay and Argentina they don't have those, and that's where so much of the meat comes from.)

I happen to know that there's a Christian Louboutin shop there, now, though, so maybe the area's improving?

OK, *******PLEASE******* tell me their system went HAYWIRE, or there is a dollar somewhere that is worth 1 penny, or this is a typo! I tried to look up Christian Louboutin to get a handle on what you were talking about AND:

Christian Louboutin - Women's Designer Shoes - Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Lanvin & Isabel Marant Shoes | Barneys New York

UHOH! It is a DISASTER! OTHER sites have the SAME problem!

    Christian Louboutin - DesignerApparel

OK, if not for a friend that spoke to me of coach purses, and my being at a VERY expensive mall in Newark NJ(Where even small suitcases that were CHEAPLY built and NOT designer cost over $600), I would think this was a joke.

Yeah, I don't think I will EVER understand this!

Yes, they're not cheap, if this is what you mean, Steve. But they're the best: very high-quality and they last a lifetime. And hey, if they can sell them in the "Meatpacking District", they can sell them anywhere, right?

Did you get a load of the shoe that would have the wearers foot at like a 98 degree incline to the floor? It probably had less than 6si of displacement. How long would the lifetime of the wearer be? ADMITTEDLY, it was one of the cheapest shoes, but STILL EXPENSIVE! Some districts may not look fancy, and maybe nobody lives there, but they can STILL be quite RICH!

I'm not quite sure which one you're referring to, Steve. There's one product shown there which is a bottle of nail varnish in the shape of a "ballet-heel" shoe. (There are some real shoes made like that - but they're "decorative"/"fetishy" only: people aren't supposed to be able to stand, let alone to walk, in them!). And I'm waiting for them to build the "Shoepacking District" before I move there ...

Ah, my. You have it much worse than I realized.

My condolences in advance to your future husband.

Maybe I was looking at pictures and prices too much. I'm certainly not in the market. ANOTHER example of why I wish they would stop assuming that a hit from me means I am interested. NOW, I am seeing ads for those shoes!

Louboutins aren't just shoes. They're art.

Back to the OP ... so is there something wrong with kids dancing?

Just sharing my sentiments on what this culture has to offer... I'm in my early 30's and somehow I feel so disco-nnected with the past and the present (excuse the pun)
