Hope I get some good weather so I can get some rock hunting in. I've got to get up to Central WA Next week around Christmas or that weekend. I have a storage unit up there that it's just plain time to clean out and bring the stuff down here.

Everyone wish me some good road conditions. This is a really sucky time of year to do this......but .........I haven't been on the road for 3 months now, so it's time to do it. Since I have a week of down time, it just seems right.

Yikes Terra! Thanks - but snow is one thing I do NOT want for Christmas this year, LOL( but I'll sure take that sweet puppy).

I won't be going until Christmas day or the 26th. Probably the 26th. I might just want to lay around and be useless on Christmas. I've got a window of 3 days that need to be great roads - and no snow would be awesome so I can stop and do a little roadside rock hunting here and there. I'll be going through an area that the jasper is worth some very good $$.

You completely missed the point, lol!

Trip, you love dogs, want a new puppy...and all you look at is snow.

(shakes her head while wondering if Sal needs to get some sleep), haha!

Uh.........I said I'd take the puppy. It was 5:00 am - and I was starting to get loopy.........but it takes more than a little bit of fatigue to make me miss a puppy!

      I will - thanks.

This is kinda last minute for me. Need to put life back into perspective - and road trips do that for me. I don't really need to clean out my storage, LOL - but I need to get out so it's a really good excuse to do so.

Besides - I should start thinking about what to do with about 1/3 ton of rock I have up there. Ha. I might just do a rock and gem show next summer.

I'll say a prayer for you, Sal.

Although I must admit I am jealous you get to experience Christmas with snow.

Take care Sal, and I hope you have a safe trip. Get extra stuff for warmth and food in your rig just in case there's any hint of snow.

Are you going to rent a U-Haul for the rocks? Those won't leave room for anything else, who knows what treasures you might have up there you've forgotten you had?

If for some reason I don't see you online again until after you return, have a Merry Christmas.

No U-Haul. There's no way I can clean it all out in one trip. I just got to thinking that I want it all here, because when I move, most likely I'll be going south and that will make it a headache to get back to. It will be probably two trips - not sure when I'll make the second trip. Just got antsy and don't want to stay here for Christmas and with gas as low as it is, it seems like the perfect time to go.

I just got a PM from one of my forum members who is up there on business for a few months, so don't have to sweat getting everything sorted in one day. I can stay with him and his wife overnight - which also means I'll be doing some rock hunting if it doesn't snow. Have a place to hold up for a day or two if the weather gets squirrely, too. They're only around 10 miles off of my chosen route so it's going to be an even better trip than I thought. I haven't seen them since summer when they stopped by for a day to help me dig up a petrified tree I found. We had major fun -- but there's still most of a tree to dig up. LOL.
