I dont know if Internet marketing will ever buy me my own private jet...but this right here? I think I could manage this maybe in a couple of years. This is the coolest toy I have ever seen!

The Icon A5 light "sport aircraft".

It only costs 150k, including 2 weeks training to get your "sport pilot license".

Should motivate some people to want to make more money.

  • Neat pictures, but if your only motivation is "stuff" you are leading a rather disappointing life.

Are you guys all going into male menopause or what? Now I can understand the plane - but sports cars? What the heck can you do with a sports car besides pose with it or pick up some really shallow chicks?

I only chose the plane as a reasonable goal because it's a cheaper than the 12 cylinder Mercedes cl 600 that I "really" want! It "flys" too. BTW: It's not only the shallow women, "we love the cars for who they are inside".

Golden loo's should be "Man Law #1"

I don't know about all that... once you have achieved a certain level of spiritual developement, most religions believe that "stuff" is a by product.

I think if you have enough to buy a new cl600 then you must also have enough to "give" more than the average person can, and even "more" motivation to do so.

On the other side of the coin; "lack of stuff" is indicative of an inability to "create what you want", and if we are to be like God, "God is a creator".

I think in many belief systems the ability to achieve what you want is an indicator of higher spiritual evolution and personal developement.

      MOST IMPORTANTLY:

I don't think stuff is anyone's "only" motivation... things like "shallow women" are much more meaningful and important.

They are so dumb and defenseless... it's men like us who reach out to them!

These shallow women have needs you know.

I will drive it. If you have a car like that you don't need a chick and the only posing happens while you are screaming down a nice twisty highway.

Sorry, I take exception to that remark. I love sports cars. Not because of mid-life crisis or status or whatever, but because I love cars, and I love to go fast.

      One of my projects. http://www.mv8r.com/

      background story here:
      Project MV8R home of the V8 MR2 1991-1999

Of course, if I were filthy rich, I would own a McLaren F1. Not for the status (though it does come with plenty of that) but because this car is the purest embodiment of a sports car.

I'd rather have a Lotus Evora. considering its basically a Toyota Camry engine in a wicked body, Im impressed by the car. The plane is awesome. I wouldn't mind one of those thats for sure.

      Can you believe it's only 150k ???

That puts the ole fashion dream of "having your own plane" on a realistic level.

I want a flying motorcycle, a ONE-seater. (Now that would be something.)

    Shallow women need not apply.

Interesting article Chris, I enjoyed reading. What a good idea for pow's to escape....

But the Icon A5 is more like a "Mercedes In The Sky". That's how I think of it anyway.

Maybe if our secret project works I will soon be flying out to Nevada in one!

    Thanks Kadensnga!

By all means, it would be great to meet you if you visit! I could take you for a ride in my other MR2 (a turbo model). Its my good MR2. I own 2 of these cars. MV8R is a junker that is perfect for a test mule for this project.

I actually got to work on MV8R a bit last night. Lately I have been so busy with my day job, and with our mutual project, my MV8R project has been neglected. But, that is OK, as I really need to earn some money soon. My financial health is starting to scare me. I also need some $$ for MV8R.

Originally, I was going to offer an e-book on doing the project. I was hoping that by offering the eBook, it would pay for the project. The project would pay for itself.

THe free stuff that is on my site now is not as detailed as it needs to be for someone to actually perform the engine swap. It is only detailed enough to create interest.

HOwever, I am now thinkning of not doing this, as our mutual project looks like it may be far more lucrative. So, I will just make the MV8R info available for free.

My favorite sports car of all time:
McLaren F1 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

One sold a couple of years ago, I think it was Paul McCartney's. He sold for around $2million (for a used car!).

I am so in love with this car that I bought the special edition version of the book Driving Ambition. I bought it directly from McLaren.

Its bound in the same connolly leather that was used on the interior of the car. It has genuine McLaren badges attached to the leather covered case it comes in, and I have my own chassis plate and chassis number. However, my number is fictional, as the first 100 copies of this book with chassis numbers went to actual F1 owners. THere are about 100 F1's out there.

You would be amazed at what I paid for this book. I am sure that it is worth more now than what I paid, not that I would ever sell it.

Bugatti Veyron (I hate this pig of a car) vs the McLaren F1
