Lucky it's not reading a book you like then. That's tough with one eye.

I don't do much IM, just freelance graphics design, but for stress relief I pump iron or get a massage.

Exercise is essential for stress release.

I also like to go for walks in parks with my dog. Anything with a lot of woods.

Sitting on the porch listening to music helps.

Watching a movie helps take my mind off of work. I have always had a hard time turning off work in my head.

          Are you kidding?

We don't sweat, work in heat, get bitten by bugs, come in contact with sick people, lift heavy objects, get threatened with bodily harm. or get rejected in person.

The hardest thing we have to do is type.

          De-stress from that?

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

I used to walk several days per week but I stopped. I plan to gradually get back on track starting immediately. My son and I walked about 1 1/2 miles yesterday and although it felt great, I also realized how much weight I've gained. Bad Joe! That, plus a nasty case of shin splints.

I've outsourced quite a bit of my most stressful online stuff, though I still do telemarketing and that can be VERY stressful some days.

Someone once mentioned that they get a massage every week to help relieve stress. I can't recall if it was "X" (John Barker) or Dave Dee? Anyhow, the average cost around here is $30-$60 for 30 or 60 minute sessions. I intend to try a session per week for a couple weeks and see how much it helps.
