Do you use Tripadviser to get info for possible accommodation to stay at in the abroad country you are considering to have a visit in?

How has your experience been? was the Tripadviser feedback fairly accurate correct to your experience when there?

Considering flying from the UK to Florida ,Orlando

Enquiring about few weeks to Florida, Orlando (looking for accommodation there),

by that, means self catering places (Rather than hotels)

and buy the flight separately (with the accommodation via finding it on Tripadviser)

What are the steps of considering staying at an accommodation through Tripadviser, do you pay before/after? pay online, or there in person ?

What are the pros/ and cons of using trip adviser , to find accommodation?
and things to watch out for ?

I don't know about trip advisor, and certainly can't mention about any particular place. I CAN give you a little advice though. Planes may have special deals with some places, and hotels certainly should, and they are more likely to give you a good deal if you get BOTH from them.

If you are the one considering Disneyworld, they may give you a good deal ALSO, so it is worth a check. From what I understand, THEY generally deal with good hotels.

    Hi,

I use AirBNB when I want to go somewhere. I haven't used them in Florida but in many other states.

Hey my wife and I went to Orlando, Florida for our honeymoon it was amazing. We stayed in Avanti Resort which was on International Drive. It was central to everything. The hotel itself is at the top end of International Drive.

It was my first time there but my wife has been there before and stayed in a different place and even she was impressed with the central location.

There is helicopter tours beside us as well and lots of restaurants and shops literally within walking distance.

You can hop on the I-Ride bus shuttle service which takes you North and South of International Drive its amazing and cost us $28 I think for the 10 days.

The hotel itself was brilliant there is the main lobby and then the rooms are in separate complex like little apartments complete with kitchen area, fridge, oven, microwave etc so great for self catering option, there is the hotel restaurant and cafe beside the pool if you want to go there but if not then just visit the nearby shops and you can get all you need to whip up your own grub in the comfort of your own room.

Also the staff at the resort were amazing they literally couldn't do enough for us they were so friendly and always helped us out and recommend us places to go and visit and gave us directions, sorted us with attraction tickets transfers etc.

If going to Avanti you can get a free shuttle to each of the parks excluding Disney World which they do provide a shuttle outside the door for but at a cost, I cant remember the exact price but we were there in about 25 minutes.

Hope this helps, if you need me to go on anymore about the hotel or anything you want to know about it I would be glad to go on and on about it as I am now obsessed with Orlando and cant wait to get back again next year :-)
