Looking For A Bone Marrow Donor

One of my daughter co-workers, Courtney Gray Haupt, is fighting for her husband's life against acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), an aggressive blood cancer.

Jonathan Haupt was diagnosed with AML this past March and has learned that his last round of chemo therapy did not go as well as they had hoped. Jonathan's only hope is a bone marrow transplant, however, Jonathan has no matches in the national or international
bone marrow registry.

We need your help in spreading the word and hopefully getting tested yourselves. A simple swab can save a life, and we're hoping to find that one person for Jonathan.There are several bone marrow drives taking place across the country.

    Took a look at it - but it's the same a donating blood. I had hepatitis (a or b, can't remember) when I was 18 and nobody will go near my blood now.

    My graduating class had a party and we passed the wine bottles around liberally - and everyone was liberally infected.

    A shame, too because I have B neg blood which is rare and they won't use it even in emergencies.
