1st College Football Playoff Begins!

I'm not sure who wins the playoffs or the championship game, they're all exciting and explosive teams to watch.

But the true winner is the fans. They don't have to tolerate the talking heads endless debates on who shoulda', coulda', woulda' been "voted" number one by the computer anymore.

All the talk and debates will be settled on the field where it should have been all along, instead of a computer program.

You're right. Now the endless debate is over which 4 teams should be in the playoffs.

Old Miss and Mississippi state were destroyed in bowl games yesterday. The mighty SEC is only 1-3 in bowl games this year.

The SEC is 4-3 in Bowl games so far this year. Texas A&M, South Carolina, Georgia and Arkansas all won. Mississippi State, Mississippi and LSU all lost.

A couple corrections. First, you have the game locations backword. Oregon and Florida State play in the Rose Bowl. Alabama and Ohio State play in the Sugar Bowl.

I'm a die hard Duck fan, but I'm also a realist. I think it will be a close game. I don't see a blowout like some Duck fans are predicting, but I do know that Oregon has faced several fantastic QBs this season (Connor Cook of Michigan State, Kevin Hogan of Stanford, Connor Halliday of Washington State, Sean Mannion of Oregon State, Brett Hundley of UCLA and Jared Goff of California) and they all lost.

The only loss we had was vs Arizona early in the season when we were decimated on the offensive line. We had a true freshman protecting Mariota's blind side and a walk-on redshirt junior on the other side. We returned the favor a couple weeks ago by destroying Arizona in the conference championship game, 51-13.

Also, the ACC conference is currently 4-5 in Bowl games, while the Pac-12 is 4-1. That makes me question Florida State's strength of schedule.

As I said, it should be a good game. I tend to believe that Oregon has a slight edge.

For those not watching --> FSU looked like dog*rap the second half...they were run over by a truck in the third quarter. The game was over before the 4th had started.

I was trying to be respectful. The defense deserves a lot of credit, too, but the offense turned all of those turnovers into points. That's the sign of a great team.

It was a great run but they were destroyed last night.

Yep, and I'm not real happy about it. Nothing personal, I just know that Urban Meyer is a genius at both running and defending the spread. This isn't something out of the norm for them like it was with Alabama. I still expect a shootout and a close game. Meyer said in the post game interview last night that he and Oregon coach Helfrich are friends and exchange ideas. I knew that Meyer used to do that with Chip Kelly, too.

I also have one of my best customers in Ohio who's a huge Buckeye fan. If my Ducks win I may not get any business for awhile. I'll have to give him the "sympathy discount". Lol.
