This is what l did today, l couldn't work at home in 39 degree heat, so down to the shopping centre!

Got my favorite cake, coffee and paper!

This is Au, so you can see the "almost total fire ban for the state of Victoria", on your left, and some Wombats on the right!

I was too lazy to lug my Laptop down there, but will eventually.

I have a weakness for those Custerdly things with Strawberrys. And hot donuts with jam, and chocolate cake, and...........!

Post what you did today, or something that signifies your country of origin!

And Richard l did brighten this image a little, but it was still stinking hot outside!

I stayed inside with the air con going. Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter. We have more days over 30 in the next week than under. I hate it so I work in the mornings and rest in the afternoons.)

Yes, l will be down there tomorrow, most likely seeing a movie, to kill a few hours and get out of this heat!

Its days like this, l wish that l could go over to the US, open the plane door, and be greeted by freezing conditions and snow!

But after a few hours, l would probably catch the next flight home!

So that's why it took you so much time to proofread the articles/emails I sent you... (I'm kidding! He's always one time, and always does a very good job.)

Anyway, I'm a bit envious on you Aussies. I need 20 minutes just to clean my car from snow.

I went to the mall to get me some bacon and bread to make this, and to get some other stuff to eat (I like eating).

Of course, it was over-crowded (don't these people ever take a break from the mall!?!), and had a hard time finding a parking spot (and my car's parking sensors are now officially dead). On top of everything, I couldn't find fresh white bread, only something I didn't like, so I ended up buying a few donuts.

I know. I once tried to make hot wine and ended up with hot grape juice.

Yes, the only way l can catch up on the depressing news, without signing my last will and testament!

Yes, scary, you must be in a high risk area, take care!

I am a bit envious, snow, the only snow l saw today was the ice in my glass of water, (out of shot).

Yes, me too, the parking is atrocious, especially on these stinkers, the concrete parking lot must have been 50 degrees today, groan. Oh, well back there tomorrow!

At least Aussies are in good spirits, this time of year tends to bring out the best in people.

        Keep em, coming!

I reheated all the delicious leftovers from New Year's for dinner today. Good thing I made enough for two dinners because it is a major undertaking to get our pup to the vet, which is what we did today. One more visit in about 3 weeks and hopefully not again until close to the end of this year (she has been ill and very expensive).

Went to see Night at the Museum, great film and the last one for Robbin Williams!

Thankfully the cool change came through when l got out, so it was bearable!

Indeed. The fire which was posted earlier is now slowing down.

It's still bad news in other areas in SA.

We're below 20 degrees now, with some rain earlier.

That makes two of us, actually: you can't really do the crossword, sudoku, kakuro, kenken and suguru from online copies.

Here you go: langas mimli bil-lewz (pears baked with white wine, almonds and Amaretto - there's actually no alcohol left in it when it's cooked: just the flavors) ...
