A 7 old girl has survived a plane crash in Kentucky that killed 4 others, including her parents, yet she showed remarkable courage in the face of this tragedy.

Larry Wilkins, 71, told NBC when he answered his door on Friday night there was a "little girl" standing there barefooted who was "bleeding pretty badly".

"She told me that her mom and her dad were dead, and she was in a plane crash, and the plane was upside down," he said.

Of all the heartbreaking stories of recent months, this brought tears to my eyes - both of great sadness for the tragic accident, and joy for the little girl who survived.

WOW! She was lucky. I wonder if she knew the area. Apparently it started because of an engine failure. Things like that happen, I'm surprised they didn't have a way to land properly, and apparently had no protection.
