I've known about these forums for a while (mentioned in books and articles everywhere). But recently, as my blog has been getting more traffic, I've had so many questions - kind of on my own with this and need to make some expert mates

Location: Athens (travelling) but from Sheffield, UK
Interests: Elec. Engineering, juggling, music, websites, internet marketing, blogging
quick bio: currently travelling Europe in my self-built campervan (This is what my blog is about)

Cheers

    Hello Hudson,

So you know, this is the off topic forum and is generally known as the bar around here. Though we have some serious discussions and some rather funny ones we don't tend to chat much about marketing here.

Having said that I like travelling and I like campervans so I'm keen to see your site. If I come up with any suggestions I will.

I couldn't see an introduction section so thought I'd just give my introduction here.

Yeah thanks, ANY suggestions, advice would be great (maybe not here but pm). I do have questions which I'll post in the relevant forums

No worries, I wasn't trying to be rude, more a of a warning of the lunacy that goes on down here compared to the rest of the forum.

In fairness, there's no harm asking the questions here and you'll find most of the people here are pretty successful marketers. It's just sometimes the mods move the threads if there's a more relevant part of the forum and you may think it's been deleted or something.

Either way, have fun on your travels.

Cheers everyone. I didn't post a link to my site just out of general forum noobie etiquette.

      DAM!

I got into work with the best intentions but now I can't stop reading your blog.

Excellent stuff, you should get quite a following with that.

EDIT. You appear to already have quite a following. Well done.

As for the press agency - I have no advice to give except why not go for it!

Have you thought about contacting some Tiny House bloggers. Their readers would be interested in your blog, photos and your story.

Sorry Glad you enjoy it. I have a lot more to come (less about me, more about DIY van conversions)

      Nice blog ... nice van.

Athens also much warmer than Sheffield, at the moment.

Snow is forecast in Sheffield, tonight.

You can monetize that by offering something more than just "notification of updates" in exchange for the visitors' email addresses, and building a "real list" of subscribers interested in travel, etc? (Not so many people opt in just for "updates", do they? ).

Nice blog! And good luck on your adventures. If you're ever in the Los Angeles / Orange County areas in southern California let me know. I'd love to share some beverages and hear about your adventures. I already opted into your updates.

For some reason, the SNL skit with Matt Foley (played by the late Chris Farley Matt Foley - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) where h esays, "...when I'm living in a van down by the river.." comes to mind.
