When checking the backlinks on a domain new as of Aug for my new business, I noticed approximately 100 spammy urls that had been added onto my domain name.
For example, if my domain name was www.blueshoes.com, they have created URLs like
www.blueshoes.com/secretarial-middle-ages-weapons-in-algeria/
www.blueshoes.com/lucille-dental-irrigation-pump-filters/
and so on....

When clicked on they all just go to my homepage and when I check my website builder ( I use WIX to build and HOST) there are no additional pages. My domain is with Go Daddy.
Thoughts??? Would really like these taken off obvioulsy.
Thnks!

Just because your domain was available when you registered does not mean it was "new" and had never been registered before.

Have you checked the registration history or the wayback machine to see if ever existed before?

You can disavow the backlinks through Google (just Google "disavow links")

But check the backlinks first. If they are not coming from a bad/spammy site you can recreate the url on your site and benefit from the backlink.

Edit: I would check the domain history and backlink profile carefully. If it was used for spammy marketing purposes before it may have existing penalties in Google. Check the age of the backlinks, check the internet archive wayback machine, check the whois history, etc.

Edit 2: I just realized this is in "Off Topic". You would get better replies in the SEO Forum

onsubie is right, but DID they create the urls!?!?!?!?!?!?

DO you have a directory called secretarial-middle-ages-weapons-in-algeria in the home directory of www.blueshoes.com? If you DO, it is WEIRD! WHAT is under it? If you don't, then what you indicate would simply NEVER be possible UNLESS you are talking about LOGS or LOG related entries. If THAT is the case, you WEREN'T hacked. Someone, maybe as an old link, a mistake, or just curiousity, tried to go TO the URL that DIDN'T exist.

Unless people try LONG names that seem to have NO logical reason, or try special characters, or weird parameters, don't worry about it. If they try long names that seem to have no logical reason, or are trying special characters, etc... they may be trying a buffer overflow, or trying to trick your system into doing something to let them in or cause a problem.
