Terra just called me from her new house. She ended up with an attack of asthmatic pneumonia getting into her closets packing in her old house so spent NY in the hospital, but is out now. She went straight to the new house to keep out of whatever it is in the old house that is making her so ill and is feeling much better.

Anyhow - she's got no internet for another week or so, and is still recovering anyhow, so will be back in a week or so and should be good to go as long as there are no bodies hanging from the rafters of the pole barn or dumped out in the swamp (she "gets" that reference. Just inside humor).

Well, I hope she gets better, especially after spending New York in the hospital. Sounds expensive.

LOL. Guess there's no shortcutting allowed when we have more than 140 characters, huh?

She says she can feel the difference in the air in the new house so she's about done with several years of extreme health.

Every now and then, it's fun to give you a light poke with a stick, just to see if you're paying attention.

Definitely good to hear about Terra. I was thinking about her the other day, surprised that she hadn't popped in with pics from the new homestead.

She was talking about getting new furniture for the place and brought the old couch to use til she can go shopping with Bill instead of letting him go himself. I remarked to her that he probably wants to be included so he doesn't end up with a pink living room.

If it's mold in the old house, just hope she does not transfer it to the new house in her furniture and belongings.

Good point about the mold. I know a woman (yeah, really, I do) who had a black mold problem
in her old house. I think from roof leaks. The first 'experts' blasted with bleach and that made the problem
worse. Bleach has too much water in it, so it does not kill the mold.

I learned from her that a very small percentage of people can die from black mold. Just something rare in their physiology. She is one.

Yeah ... I saw a story on TV about a beautiful antebellum estate that had a toxic mold problem exacerbated by the insurance company delaying paying for claims and not allowing them to repair the wet wood. They moved into an apartment on the same property but brought toxic mold with them inadvertently. The mansion is completely uninhabitable at this point. Her husband and son had extreme health problems.

Terra isn't online? You mean we can make fun of her and there's nothing she can do about it?

Why did Terra cross the road?

      E-Hem!!

Why did Terra cross the road?
To get where Kurt was so she could put him temporarily out of commission with her famous flying round house kick to the solar plexus then slice him to pieces with a tongue lashing which is sharper than any two-edged sword. She next would drag him to the swamp and dip him in it for just the right marinade, then promptly hang him from the pole barn ceiling and wait for the giant spider that lives in the woods to come out and enjoy a snack and real blood shed!

How many Terras does it take to screw in a light bulb?
One! Screwing in light bulbs is only but one of her many, many talents.

Terra piece of my heart out Kurt. There I am deathly ill and you make fun of me?

Poor Terra, I do hope she recovers fast and stays well in her new digs. I had also been wondering if she was just horribly busy moving, although it seems unlike her not to at least pop in and let us know how things are going.

I was wondering about her and the whereabouts of Mr. Gaskill (although I've seen his thanks on some posts).

Tell her to get very well soon and that I can't wait to see what she does with Swamp Thing, er umm cough cough, Kurt.

She and I already discussed the need to wash everything well. I think she'll be okay. Lets hope so anyway. I used to have extreme allergies and know the misery she's been put through. This has been, what, 2 years now? They've done a lot of work on the house and nothing is helping it. I was really glad to see them find a house. From her health issues, I was thinking she wasn't going to last much longer if they didn't.
