Hey guys!

Boy have I missed you all! I hope you haven't forgotten who I am... = (

I'm sorry I haven't touched base but I was hospitalized with severe allergy induced asthmatic pneumonia. It was touch and go there for awhile. I was in ICU with 24 hour watch because I am allergic to all penicillin and all other antibiotics except one and that one wasn't working well enough so they gave me little doses of the ones I have lesser reactions to and countered the reactions with more meds. Ugh! I was a human pin and needle cushion.

Anyway, I went in on the 30th of December so we had to postpone closing on the new house until I was released on the 12th of January. We went straight to the title company, closed, got the keys to the new house and took me there because the doctors forbid me to go back to the old house. Oh, and the new house just got cable and internet hook up today!

Moving has been slow because hubby is on 10 hour days at work and I can't do too much. But the good news is that I am in my new house and can breathe so much better!

Oh, test results have revealed that I am allergic to penicillium mold, a very common mold that we all breathe on a regular basis, but of course my body doesn't like it too much. I can't have blue cheese anymore either because apparently they but penicillium mold in it!

Sorry I'm blabbering away, but I'm still on steroids and well, obviously have a lot to say...some things never change, Haha!

Missed you guys!

It really was Tim. When they told me they were going to give me some antibiotics I was allergic to and counter them with steroids and anti-inflamatories, etc. and be monitored 24/7, I freaked!

Just so you can sort of get an idea of what I have been living with in my old house for 5 years, here are the symptoms of penicillium mold allergies and that is on top of my dust allergy!

Symptoms can be as mild as dark circles or red rims under the eyes, sneezing, runny nose, burning and watery eyes, burning sensation in nasal passages, to more moderate symptoms such as skin rash, blocked nose, itchy throat, conjunctivitis, swollen and crusted eyelids, chronic sinusitis, and post nasal drip. Additionally, more serious reactions can also occur such as shortness of breath, other respiratory symptoms, general wheezing, asthma-like symptoms, breathing problems, and worsening of already-existing asthma symptoms.

Every year my symptoms worsened as we lived in that house. I always said I was allergic to it, lol!

      But, here's to better days!!

I haven't always been allergic to them. I developed an allergy to them at 35 yrs old. I had an allergic reaction to Z-pac first, then as they changed antibiotics due to that reaction, I reacted to them all except one, and that is the one I am always prescribed.

All of my reactions are raised, red, puffy skin all over my body that itches and burns accompanied with severe headaches. With the exception of one and that is penicillan. I have an anaphylactic reation to it and did go into anaphylactic shock and almost died over that one.

Gee, Terra - we talked about ya while you were gone - the thread's probably at the bottom or second page.

I just wish you'd get new doctors. Holy crap that sounds like the stuff they used to do to me when I was a kid. They came near to killing me a few times. Took a doctor in Germany to wake me up.

Anyway - wash EVERYTHING you brought with you so you don't transfer it to your new digs.

On a more fun note - I'm loading up the rig myself right now. Tonight is my last night of work and I'm out of here tomorrow. Dayton, NV - google it. It's right outside of Carson City. So..........you're gonna have to hold the forum while I'm gone. It should only be 3 or 4 days till I'm back up and running.

Yeah, dust, in Melbourne at the moment, we seem to have a high dust issue in the air, well at least around Melbourne we do.

So after a week, the smell of dust in the room becomes obvious, and it isn't just where l live, it is everywhere!

I was in the local library, getting away form the heat, yesterday, and people were sneezing here and there, because there was a smell of dust in the air.

Well that and barely having the air con on, (the shopping centre was cooler, but only has Wi-Fi for an hour).

I do suffer from hayfever, but dust doesn't seem to affect me that much anymore!

Glad you are back, l will remove the dust cover from your pink sofa, and the stains Dan, and Claude left!

yay, I am so glad you are back, Terra.

funny how our body changes over the years and we start to develop sensitivities to stuff we never did before.

I am just happy you are ok

Well Crapola guys! I'm out of thanks!

Shane, No the house isn't condemned, it was a common mold that never bothered hubby, my kids or my grand kids, just me. The new owner said he's going to have a mold remedial company that offers a 5 year guarantee come in. He lives in New York and bought the house for a rental unit.

And happy about the new house.

It will be a good 2015 for you and you're family, I am sure !!
Thank you so much! Yes indeed, 2015 is going to be an awesome year, I can feel it in the air!

              Oh, Haha! No pun intended.

And if you need more pink furniture ideas or links, just let me know. After all you've been through the past few months, you deserve at least one dedicated "pink" room in your new house!
              Thanks Cheryl!

Those pink couches were gorgeous! But I couldn't do that to hubby. I do have a pink room already though. It's the guest bedroom/my Betty Boop room. The bedspread, sheet set, and matching curtains are all in two tone pink and black & white.

Sorry you've been through all this, it's not been an easy time for you, hopefully you're out the other end now. I remember going to your profile page recently and I noticed you hadn't been here for a while.

I thought maybe you couldn't stand Dan any more and just had to stay away. I feel the same way Terra. Yesterday he said if I was rich he'd follow me around the world and pop paper bags behind me whenever I was about to have fun. He's so mean. When I meet Dan We'll go for a beer/meal and I'll pay someone to tie his shoe laces together when he's not looking.
              Richard, I so love you! = )

When you visit with Dan, can I come too?

I'd love to see you be mean to him for me and watch him fall on his face when he trips on those shoe laces.

Hey, we could bet on which one could hold our laughter in the longest. Loser buys the next round. We'll even include Dan's drink since he kissed the floor for us and all.

Aww! How sweet! Forever is a long time but I'll be here as long as the doors are open.

Yeah, I guess it's just another thing we have to endure along with all of the other parts of the aging process.

But I'm a fighter and a lover so all is good, right? LOL!

Not so much on the other ones, Shane. But I love those opals in the Melbourne one. They're gorgeous!

Do you know the price ranges on them?

No, but l will blow the image up might help?

Probably around the thousand mark for most!

I wouldn't be surprised if the display opal is worth $3000 -$5000 or more?

      Thanks Laurence!

I'm getting better and better every day. As a matter of fact, I'm going to venture out later this afternoon and shop for new living room furniture and some new appliances.

      Whoo Hoo!

      Shane,

I'm not interested in the large display opal but rather the necklace and earring set on the far left bottom row. I really like that set. And also, the pendant two over to the right of those. That one seems to have some pink in it.

If you're looking for blue opal (where the hell did this conversation come from?), just buy American - cheaper and you won't see any difference in some of them depending on where in the States they're from. If you want Black opal - then you want to get AU opal. Their black is more stable than our black.

Just info in case you are actually gonna buy yourself an opal set.
