The Greatest American Generation?
IMHO, the only candidates are the revolutionary generation, the civil war generation and the generation that fought and won WW2 - on two fronts, which former NBC anchor dubbed the "greatest generation" in his book about them.
Maybe the War Of 1812 Generation should be included in the discussion because they affirmed that the U.S. is here to stay?
