Is this favorites or best? Someone like Beverly Sills (opera singer) probably has a better voice than most, but I'm not into opera and don't listen to her.

Anyway...

I like Donna Summer's voice, but don't like disco. I also like Debra Harry's voice, but not into Blondie at all. Same with Diana Ross. If I could just get these ladies to sing the blues.

KoKo Tayor - Most wouldn't consider her a great voice, but she's one of my all time faves. She died recently. RIP

All in all, I prefer strong voices, such as Etta James and Aretha (and KoKo). I prefer "old school" voices...By this I mean singers that could fill a room with sound before microphones and amplifiers were created. Today, you can whisper and be considered a singer with all the modern electronic help.

Honestly, I'm not really into vocalists, but this is my favorite female vocalist song of all time....I especially like the last minute where Etta does her own version of scat.
