Need art and a source

I don't know this is the best place to ask for input, but I know that Warriors typically have access to a lot of talented people, and a lot of sources for unusual items.

I need an artist to make two images, each to be on the opposite side of a coin type medallion.

Then I need a source where I can have the medallion made, just one of a kind. A gift for a very special person.

Any suggestions? I don't need a 5+, 10+ 100+ etc production. I plan to make one and only one. And I'm willing to pay any reasonable price for them. (It's a gift for one very dear person.)

the lower the quantity the higher the cost per item... You could try and order 3D printing services and a image + 3d model design on fiverr.. its cheaper in compare to creating a stamp to inprint the 2 images on both sides, or carving the images from a coin.

I've got 2 months to get it done, just looking for thoughts if anyone has any to offer. I appreciate the input Insano. Might be the way to go. But I do want the final product to be metal, and I'm not very familiar with 3D printing.

Might pay to go over to Freelance or Elance, (sorry mods, have to be fair) and pay someone to do a CAD/CAM or 3D render for you!

I am not that familar with doing a design for metal, so it might pay to find someone who actually creates the mould for the coin, and see what he requires to speed up the process?

Fiverr might be able to do the design part, but they do have a tendency to be quick, so unless you have the design idea on paper, then it is more speed and less creative patience!

As for the artwork, I've gotten incredible original artwork done on Elance. I'd try to locate a 3D printer solution for producing it.

nyce Studio in Geneva specializes in metal finishes (including gold) on 3D-printed art. Please tell Louis that I sent you. (I did some voiceover work for one of his promotions.)

I'm not sure where you're located, but out west there's a lot of people who work with metal. If you just want any old metal you can look up artisans in your area. Get on Ebay or Etsy and see who's selling metal art and solicit them.

If you are going to spring for real silver, gold, etc, you want a jeweler. Find an independent master jeweler in your area. You'll pay for it, trust me on that one - but you can probably get a real cheap pattern online and that should bring the price down a tad.

There's also a possibility that you can get it done at a shop that makes trophies and awards.
