Would John Maclain Really Survive Die Hard?

Nope!

Explains why dummies punch out someone and end up in prison for ten years, in real life they watch too much of this and think that humans are very resilient!

    WHY didn't they show the scenes after that last one!?!?!?!?!? THEN they could have said how john mcclain would have died of multiple bullet wounds! THEN!!!!!! ******THEN******! The now PROCLAIMED DEAD Mcclain goes into a room and shoots EVERYONE with a MACHINE GUN! YEP, ALL DEAD! OOOOOPS! Did I forget to mention that the guns had BLANKS?

    And tympanic membrane tears? How do you figure? The sound could be low, mitigated, or he could have earplugs, etc... This is ESPECIALLY likely on a cold day or near a running aircraft,

    He could have survived. He would have to be very lucky and/or plan it out well, but he could. Even in bulletproof, he could have survived those things. His character even has to be convinced that he is somehow special.

    But WHY would anyone even ATTEMPT this let alone claim that this made them think that they could even HIT a person without hurting them?

    BTW in nearly every case they remind people how bad it is. he lets the enemy know about his not having shoes, and they corner mcclain. Realizing there is NO way to safely kill mcclain directly, they shoot all the glass, and mcclain is bleeding all over and struggling to find cloth to use as makeshift shoes.

    But to say a guy has fractured fingers, with NO evidence, or torn cartilage, etc... is LUDICROUS! I don't care if the guy IS a doctor. There is a REASON why they have MRIs, XRAYS, feel limbs, etc....

      True, with a bit of luck he could have cut down on the deaths!

      Maybe 9 instead of 13?

      But falling onto the container ship, from 5 or more storeys is pushing it!


      But that is what makes these movies entertaining, believing that he gets through.



      The last "fast and the furious, movie" they seem to try to die at high speed and keep surviving!

        5 or more storys IS pushing it, but was his fall ever broken? What did he land on? HOW was he dressed? HOW did he fall? Based on the answers, his injuries could vary from being a mess and instantly DEAD to not having a scratch!

        As for the die hard movies, I think they are well written, and involved enough that they are entertaining. Seeing a good guy work so hard and get things done, and save the day is a PLUS! Seeing the others die or even get badly wounded is a PLUS! And YEAH, seeing the good guys happy and alive, even if they ARE beat up, is certainly a PLUS!

        HEY, HARRY POTTER has the SAME kind of feeling about it!

          Yeeeeeeessss, but if l feel 5 storys on my back, (yeah, l know speculating) well it would take me a good 10 minutes to get up. Ok, overall if a real human went through all of that he would have died!

          Harry Potter, yes, Harry gets older but still stays stupid, and Bimiley could do the lot since she actually remembers some spells!

          But, Harrys family were a***** so, that probably explains it?

            Well, outside of themselves, people with such a bent have never been accused of being smart. Bimiley? You mean Hermione? As for Harry's family? If they were in the US, what political party do you think they would be a member of?
