Sneaky Superfish Adware - here is how to check if you have it

Superfish is a nasty adware malware that was pre-installed on some laptops. So you would never know if you have it even if you have up to date security. Here is a free check to make sure you are clean.

    Sounds like a very smart way for lastpass to capitalize on this situation.

    Luckily, I haven't bought any lenovo computers. But MAN, THIS IS NASTY! ANOTHER reason why maybe a preinstalled browser is a BAD idea. It left a program waiting for such an event BEFORE the owner even PURCHASED the thing! If you recall, M/S wanted to override all the browsers and own the market, and the US government took them to court. M/S said they tied the browser into the OS, and they settled by allowing others to be preinstalled.

    As for the page for last pass, I didn't get any notice that I should do anything, so I guess it is safe. The program they have there may be another story, but such things kind of scare me for a few reasons, even though it IS a nice idea and will make things more secure.
