You need to check that your friend, Bryan, has your correct phone number...but you cannot ask him directly. You must write the question on a card and give it to Alyssa who will take the card to Bryan and return the answer to you. What must you write on the card, besides the question, to ensure Bryan can understand the message but so Alyssa cannot read your phone number?

    Yes. I hate these kinds of employment questions and wonder if there have been
    any court cases regarding their statistical reliability for predicting success on the job.

    There is a 1970's USA Supreme Court ruling against using the Wonderlic intelligence test
    as a screening tool, but employers still use it or similar tools.

    As for these stupid questions, employers use them to try to gauge your creativity and problem
    solving skills. Apple or some big company like that asks people how they would move Mt. Fuji.

      I was in a skype interview for a job at another casino four years ago. It was going fine until the person said:

      "Think back to a serious problem with a player that occurred on a table where you were dealing...please outline the steps you took to solve the problem and please your guests."

      This was for a "transfer" job with the same company so it WAS stupid. I had a personnel folder filled with good guest comments, with awards for guest interaction...and no negaitve writeups or problems. This question told me their interviews were rote only - and no one had bother to look at my file.

      So I gave her a true incident - guy raises hell - bad language - threats to me - rude to other guests.

      My solution: I called security and had him thrown out permanently. The other "guests" on the table thanked me.

      I figured that would shoot down my chances - but the next day they offered me the job. I turned it down.

    If you don't get the call he does not have the right number.
