Looks like that solid gold Apple watch is right around the corner:

Spring forward: Apple will take the wraps off Apple Watch at March 9 event | Macworld

Thank you, Lord.

Cheers. - Frank

P.S. It's always nice when you can play with the house's money

    What's a watch?

      What Dan says.

In this day and age, I see no need for a watch. There's clocks every darn place you look.

You might be right. Either way, it's another device I don't need.

You mean a clock that I put on my wrist that does a limited amount of things my phone already does?

Well, I had a watch that ran for over 10 years, which is something phones today can't do! Of course, they want to add a lot of things to watches but STILL, they could have a dual channel watch that will start out doing almost anything, and degrade to a watch. Phones today start out doing almost anything, and degrade to a BRICK!

Sorry, Cynics: Apple Watch Might Be Company's Biggest Launch Ever

People really, really want the Apple Watch.

Nearly 1 million U.S. consumers preordered the tech giant's first smartwatch when it went on sale last Friday. The estimate comes from Slice Intelligence, a firm that uses e-receipts to measure digital commerce. Apple's latest offering was preordered by 957,000 people, who spent an average of $503.83 on the device, putting the watch on track to be the company's biggest new product release ever.

When the original iPhone launched in 2007, it took 74 days to reach 1 million sales. In 2010, the original iPad took 28 days. (Both products were initially only made available in the United States, which is not the case with the Apple Watch.)

Neil Cybart, a finance expert who tracks Apple on the Above Avalon blog, minced no words about the significance of the watch's release. "It's pretty clear that with the Apple Watch, Apple will have its largest product launch," Cybart said in an interview with The Huffington Post.

                That's...nice.

                I guess.

Good for Apple. They're finally making headway in the marketplace...

Thanks for informing us on how you believe others should live their lives. Based on that I will cancel my order. I apologize and thanks for setting me straight. To show how serious I am I will return my new BMW convertible, because I should be happy to ride a horse.

And while they're at it they should live it by your dictates.

Apple Watch sales reach nearly 1m on first day of orders | Technology | The Guardian

I don't think anyone disbelieved Apple had a million fans worldwide many of who believe they have to have the latest to be cool.

I'll be interested after the first two years to see the numbers. I am not saying there might not be some good specialty uses for it but I think its pretty obvious the world does not have a compelling reason to compute on such a small screen. My phone does fine
