Imagine my face wrinkling up when I saw that wound. I think I have seen this pictures before.

I am a dog lover so I really get sad seeing dogs treated like this and get happy when someone picks them up and takes care of them. Dogs are loyal companions that should be treated with love.

Compassion to animals is the ultimate test of virtue in a human. Seeing rescues like this is all that gives me hope in humanity. There is nothing more rewarding on this earth than taking a life that is in trouble and healing the body and teaching the soul true love. Nothing deserves this kind of misery. Nothing. The people that heal them are angels on earth.

Have any of you watched the video's by Eldad Hagar from Help for Paws?

I often watch them. He rescues stray and abandoned dogs or dogs with health issues. He's a registered charity and has video's all over YouTube. I'm sure most dog lovers probably have heard of him.

Quite emotional viewing a lot of them if you have a keen fondness for dogs but they always end nicely for the dog.

I'm a very avid fan of Help for Paws. I've even donated a few times. Soi Dogs over in Thailand is another one. They're doing great work against the illegal dog meat trade. Anyone going from Thailand to the US needs to check with them first because they send dogs here to adopting owners and often need someone to chaperone the dogs at airports. Dogs that have been brutalized, packed into cages with the fate of often being skinned or boiled alive really need our help. To me that's a very worthy charity to slip a few bucks whenever the need arises.

now all we have to hope for is that humans would start being kinder to each other too - and this world would be almost perfect

don't get me wrong - I love animals as much as you all here but I love people too

History instructive! One should always be a man. And we often do not help people, not to mention animals.
