Gaw, Dammit, l feel Better Tonight!

Yeah, l know,....but l have felt a bit down since yesterday, and not because l got drunk or any other everyday reason, but because l almost got my car stolen!

I went to the shopping center, (Eastland for locals, or the one they are tearing up), went there with my Mother, and about 5 hours later, went back to my car, (which l definitely locked) and found the drivers door lock up!

I naturally thought, it was me, but no, l destintly remember double checking that door, and all the rest for that matter.

Then later the start key didn't slip into the ignition as easily as it used to, so it seems some A**** opened the door and couldn't start it!

Thankfully my car has a steering wheel lock included, but is an 88 year car, so reasonably easy for low lifes to get into.

Sorry, can't mention the car details except that it was a Nissan!

I will look into a steering wheel lock tomorrow, well, hopefully; another odd thing was a guy wanted to do a survey for some motor mechanic across the road, when l parked and got out of the car.

Related, can't say, but l might alert the shopping center?

So, just finished watching "The Wedding Singer" which did a lot to lift my spirits, and some chocolate and played Wii-Zelda after a few months of neglect, just need to put this creature behind me and move on!

The last 2 years have been the worst on record for me, one year hand, skin infection, last year l had to get a tooth pulled, and this year, almost lost my car!

Maybe l'd better buy a Tatt's ticket, this crap must mean something?

Anyone else going through a streak of bad luck?

Unfortunately in AU, utility costs are going up and up, and crime might be increasing, since, (the unmentionables) don't give a S***!

Anyway rant over, l will end this with a good kittie image.

"Almost" only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Why not just be happy that you're car was not stolen and look at it as having good luck as opposed to a "streak of bad luck?"

    Just a thought.

    Cheers. - Frank

I was caughing yesterday, and went to the doctor. I said "I find it hard to breath. And I think I should be able to bereath easily, even at my age. What's the problem?"

The doctor looked at me and said , "The bottom of your lungs aren't working well. You are suffering from High Aspirations"

If there's one thing you excel at it's being yourself. Rest assured that any attempt to replicate you, or your behaviour or mannerisms, is doomed to failure as there is a level to which the normal human being finds it impossible to stoop to - even with 3D printing or celestial assistance.

but is an 88 year car,
You people and your new cars
I've got you beat on that one. I drive an 85 Jeep, 30 years old this year.
I never lock it, in fact the lock on the rear door doesn't work.
I figure anyone dumb enough to try and steal it is to dumb to figure out how to start it with or with out the key.

Shane, here I thought you were going to tell us how you took a shower and it made you feel better. Phew - glad it wasn't that!

I'm very glad your car didn't get stolen! That's a very positive thing!!! I'd consider it good luck that someone failed at stealing your car!

I encourage you to think about all the good things that have occurred over the past 2 years, rather than focus on three negative things and look at those as a "streak of bad luck". I'm guessing the positives far outweigh the negatives, but if you focus on the negatives, that's all you'll see....

(I'm going to have to start collecting all these adorable kitty photos you're posting! )

Shane, keep your eyes on the half full portion of the glass. You still have your car and someone else had the "bad luck" to not be able to steal it. Probably some dumb kids messing around. I hope you reported it to the local police and security guards because they just might get another vehicle. It's also a little wake up call for you to possible rethink where you park your vehicle.

It's a shame that people try to steal, but that is what happens all over the various countries. A relative of mine went on a Christmas gift shop-till-you-drop excursion with her sister-in-law. Her vehicle was stolen fully loaded with two family's Christmas presents all gone.

No, l had parked reasonably close to the main door, probably the only reason, this moron, didn't try to hotwire my car!

A lady did warn me about her car being stolen from her driveway, which was identical to mine, so yeah, not sure if l am going down there today, but l will let center management know!

Yes, my car is still in pretty good shape, eventhough the paintwork is slowly disappearing, and a side plastic panel keeps coming off.

This has certainly taught me, that l have to forget about leaving my Laptop in the car anymore, and look into steering wheel locks?

New car, LOL, l go to the shopping center now, and most cars are like an iphone or remote control tv. I saw one recently that automatically turned off the lights, geesh!
My Jeep is in pretty good shape also. I had an accident two years ago where I was hit on the passenger side rear quarter panel, but it's hardly noticeable. Like with motorcycles I like a car I can work on myself if needed.
I don't litter and most times forget to take the trash out of the Jeep. If I had a laptop I'd just hide in the garbage

Maybe parts for older cars are easier to obtain in different areas. When our cars got older, parts were difficult to get. We used to have two stone age Fords, they both had some expensive repairs and then developed big engine problems. We bought a Honda and so far, it's been rather reliable. I don't think my husband has any inclination to work on this one and hopefully it will last without a lot of expensive repairs like the Fords.

Yes, the glass it half full, but sometimes it might be fluoridated water, or a hot day, so it is evaporating away!

But l will keep that in mind, and here is another kitty image just for you!

It depends on what the car is and how popular it was. My Jeep Cherokee was very popular and most of the parts stayed the same back then from year to year.
I like Hondas. I had a 98 CR-V I bought in 99 and that lasted me until around 2009. I lost reverse in the transmission and still was able to drive it for 2 years like that. I put well over 100,000 miles on it and it still ran strong when I got rid of it, just won't go backwards.

No l shower daily, and a good movie with chocolate works for me.

If l had a whole plate of chicken breasts, l would feel stuffed and well, sick if it was KFC!

As for a half dozen eggs, feeling sick, and flapping my arms would probably happen.

Can't be good to have a diet like this everyday, l hope WC, balances this out with salads and vegetables?

Yes, l am still getting over the shock, and one failed attempt of car stealing after more than 25 years, is a positive. Probably won't happen again, but a steering wheel lock couldn't hurt!

Glad you like the kitty images, there are quite a lot in bad taste, which l won't be posting here.
