The girl in the AT&T commercials is hilarious. You should do a Youtube search for her. Her name is Milana Vayntrub. She, and this other girl are just amazing.

They "Interviewed" Matt Damon, and it was really funny. In this video, they interviewed Bob Odenkirk.

You are obsessing about the wiener dogs. The men are looking at the girls....except WC, who's looking at Odenkirk.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Do I need to remind you that you posted the wiener dog video?

And you're right, the men are looking at the ladies. You're looking at the wiener dogs.

You are the one obsessed by wiener dogs. I didn't even know there were dogs in the video.

I know that when you took the Rorschach Test, you kept saying, "Wiener dog. Wiener dog with wings. Wiener dog eating a hot dog, Wiener dog talking smack to another wiener dog"...it went on and on with you.

I took the Rorschach Test, and said, "Kurt insulting me, Kurt pissing me off, Kurt trying to strangle me, Kurt being mean to me, Kurt taking my hotdog....... because he's obsessed with wiener dogs".

Riffle took the Rorschach Test and said, "When do we eat lunch? Do I get a free lunch? I was told lunch was included with this test".

WC took the Rorschach Test, and said "This is me without a shirt, This is another photo of me without a shirt, me standing behind a cactus...without a shirt, me...sleeping on a park bench......wait...without a shirt".

          That is all for now.

In all due respect Claude, this just does not resonate as funny to me. The second video is a little funnier than the first with Odenkirk.

              But still falls short !!

The girls are cute but just not really funny, at least funny as it relates to other funny women in entertainment

Am I missing something here ??

The faucet thing is a little funny but nothing that hasn't been done over and over again

What are you seeing that Iam not ??

The humor is subtle. It's difficult to explain. Everything they do is just a little uncomfortable. Everything they say is slightly insulting and awkward....maybe a tinge mean. The same humor is in the Larry David series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Very similar to The Office. Ricky Gervais is known for this kind of humor.

There isn't a defined joke, or punchline. Maybe one of the other guys can explain it better. I do understand that it isn't for everyone.

Riffle uses the same kind of humor in many of his jabs at me. They just read as slightly insulting..but they are really hilarious, if you get the context....and the thought behind them. Kurt says some brilliant mean things to me...but it isn't the same kind of humor. Again, it's pretty subtle. Frank Donovan is sometimes using this kind of humor in his jabs.

What an inspiring comment from you, Claude. It's true, the smarter you are, the funnier I seem. Which is why I'm always surprised when you thank one of my posts.

"I got it," however it was just a little too gentle for me. I will thank you for letting me see more footage of that dark haired girl though. I rather like her.

The British version of the Office got it just right to my mind. The cringing tedium of working in that sort of environment was beautifully, comically portrayed. The American one is not bad but misses the point a little as it makes it too colorful and interesting.

Exactly. If the comedy is entertaining, it isn't the kind of humor I'm talking about. And if there is any kindness involved, it ruins the humor as well.

That would explain why Riffle is so funny.

Here is the latest AT&T commercial with the actress. Watch what happens at the end of the commercial. See how she gets embarrassed and stammers and wilts? It's that kid of acting and humor that I'm talking about.

                    .

                    Added later; Here are two lines that use the kind of humor I'm talking about;
"If you think she's pretty today, you should have seen her five years ago".
"I would rather be here with Riffle, than with the most interesting person I know".

Close. I just used two backhanded compliments as an example. There has to be a slight "cringe factor". Maybe the cringing is the most important part.

I'm pretty upset right now. I'm getting tired of every thread getting turned into "The Claude And Riffle Comedy Show"

I was trying to make a point about subtle sarcastic humor in our culture and how cerebral humor works. You've reduced it to a joke.

Yes, cringing and a feeling of embarrassment on behalf of the protagonists (and their victims). We can sense their social ineptness and either their inability to read, or to misinterpret normal social signals. Shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office and Louie (Louis C.K.) are great examples of this.

Incredibly, there's actually a genre called "Cringe Comedy"

Yup. I see it in Louie...but not in Louis CK's comedy act. Probably because it takes two people to pull off the cringe effect.

Louis CK is one of my favorite comedians.

And Riffle is my least favorite comedian......And I'm including Adolph Hitler in that list.

I spent the morning, looking for some examples of your brilliant humor....I couldn't find any. That's 8,000 posts...totally devoid of brilliant humor.

Sorry, I meant Ianfear. Ianfear says some brilliant mean things to me.

Jervais' follow up show to The Office, Extras is even better. The episode with Ian McKellen had me laughing out loud all the way through it. If you haven't seen the series already, I can thoroughly recommend watching it on Netflix or whatever service it's available on in your neck of the woods..

Have you seen Life's Too Short? Warwick Davis is incredible in it. He plays a version f himself, in much the same vein as The Office.

He's petty, greedy, conniving...and completely delusional about his self importance.

Yep, I've seen that, and yep, I can see why he's your idol.

Well, alrightythen... I see they haven't done any videos for a while.

Now these two - omg - they were invited to interview on a radio show because of their antics.

They film most of their videos right in their car. They have a pretty huge following too.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Bizgrower's Signature; "If you think you're the smartest person in the room, then you're probably in a room alone with Riffle."

          Added after I thought of it;
Riffle is so out of shape, he has a goatee, so if he's in a fatal accident, the coroner will know where his face ends.

Thanks for the heads up. Got it changed.

By the way, to me "Bizgrower" and Bizowner" look pretty much the same. I remember names and words by the shape the letters make. It makes for some curious mistakes in memory.

Thanks, guys. Just don't call me RIffle, Kurt or Shirley.

Remembering as Claude does, or dyslexia, could make for some curious considerations in conversion rate optimization.
