i am developing a website totally devoted to promotion of artists/musicians. I have downloaded many videos and have the same amount on my playlist in YouTube. I have used a video editor only to merge the videos together only for the purpose of streaming. I leave the videos just as they are on YouTube unedited. On my website I will have links/affiliates to direct my audience to where to purchase the artists works. I have a YouTube channel and a Google+ member. Are the any legal issues regarding this and if so, what advice can you give me to work around legal issues? I have read the Rules from YouTube, but the Lawyer speak is not sufficient for me for clarification.

You have DENIED them control, so people, and NOT just YOUTUBE, may balk! I would suggest simply LINKING to the youtube version. It is more trouble for you, but more honest, and THEY, AGAIN, NOT JUST YOUTUBE, retain control.
