From the Bitcoin sub-reddit, SweetDayFly: I am prostitute, how can I accept Bitcoin?

I am prostitute and had clients mentioning and asking if I would accept Bitcoin. I had no clue what they were talking about and always said "nope".

Then I asked Google, and anyhow it looks legit and very interesting. As I understand it, I could use Bitcoin as investment. But the much bigger question is, how can I accept it if a client would ask me?

After a little bit of reading, I am very interested to accept it if clients ask again.
If you want to understand more about Bitcoin and how to get started, this is an interesting thread on reddit.

If you are looking for a date, not so much.

[Seriously] This will most likely hail downvotes, but let me try anyway... I am prostitute, how can I accept Bitcoin? : Bitcoin

One of the comments was,

Hey doll,
Fellow hooker here. I wrote a tumblr entry about this last year that I think you may find helpful.

There's an interesting line of philosophy from the second post:

Bitcoin does not inflate or depreciate, however the amount of dollars it is worth depends on the value of the US Dollar (or whatever money you use in your country).
I used to hear such comments about gold, that it has a stable value, and it's the fiat currencies which fluctuate. It really comes down to one's perspective; there isn't really any one "true" standard of value across the planet. If all of your other accounting is in dollars, then, from your perspective, the value of Bitcoin does change.

No different from prostitutes in the 1800's at the mining camps getting paid in gold or silver. What they were "earning" depended solely on the price of the metal any given day.

        David Beroff,

        Yea, I noticed that.

What I picked up from the post was a couple of ideas on Bitcoin wallets and a couple of things to avoid.

Oh, and Peaches tumblr account was an interesting read.
