The Eagles are signing Tebow:

Eagles will reportedly sign Tim Tebow - SBNation.com

2011 was one of the most entertaining years to be a Broncos fan. After the team had gone a horrific 5-16 Tebow came in and had a 6-game miracle winning streak, and was 8-5 overall with a playoff win.

Hard to believe he hasn't been a regular starter since then.

He definitely has more than his fair share of haters. Kind of interesting considering that many sports star make all sorts of religious statements. Maybe it's Tebow's personal story or just the way he does it.

Regardless, if he does well with the Eagles, this would make for one of the best comeback stories ever. Kind of like how Steve Jobs came back to Apple and took it to another level.

  • It's because Tebow actually seems to be truly a Christian and they hate it He's not good enough to start but good enough to play

He's worked with top throwing coaches. Maybe he can throw NFL style now.

If he could get with a team and coaches who could optimize to him, it might be
a darn good team. I think that season in Denver sort of demonstrated that.

Tebow did a good job in Denver.

One question is can he take the pounding that NFL defenses will heap on him if he deliberately runs 10-15 times a game?

He's going to have to be a much better thrower if NFL defenses are to respect him and stop ganging up on the line of scrimmage on non-obvious passing situations.

That's if he plays a lot.

Tebow may play a lot on 3rd and short situations, (less than 3 yards to go) where his running ability really comes in handy.

I'm not sure what coach Chip Kelly is doing by dropping Nick Foles and obtaining Sam Bradford but I can understand him dropping the scatter-bug runner LeSean McCoy and getting a north-south runner like Demarco Murray.

Chip seems to think his offense will score a lot of points no matter who's playing and he's made a lot of moves to shore up his defense.

Only time will tell if Chip's philosophy proves successful. So far so good with one year under his belt and one playoff appearance.

I hope he does really well and silences all the people who jumped on him for nothing.

We have athletes out there doing horrible things and they receive less public lashings than a guy being a Christian.

      That's sad.
