How the hell would AC/DC hire a Drummer with less than Novice skills like this.
I could do this in 6th grade, really

        I agree. But they hired him in 89' after the Band was already a HUGE success for over a dozen years.

        It just kind of blows my Mind that the Young brothers and their Management would hire someone with such really basic skills.

        Even the most simplest Country bands ( that are huge successes) have incredible musicians.

        And I guess it was just surprising when I saw this video the other day

          So, they hired him in 89 - he played for 12+ years with the band and no one noticed. That should tell you something

          As Frank said - their music is very simply - especially the drums. Their focus is the guitar.

          I started drumming when I was 33. AC/DC was probably the first band I practiced to because their music is so easy to play.

          I have to say though - they rock in concert. Been listening to them since 1977.
