A new driving app idea
I just came up with this and really thought I needed to share it with some people who understand the business.
So the inspiration came from GTA 1 - 5 and similar games where you have two different modes on:
one is where you get to surf around the city and just get to know the places better
the other is where you're into the more serious business and need to be headed somewhere for a particular objective
so I was just thinking if we could somehow give life to a similar idea in real life
basically an app that lets you go to surf mode where you just explore the places around you...when tht mode is on, you could even have a small led or something similar blinking 'green' perhaps to show other drivers that this vehicle is on surf mode and is just looking around...don't know what value it'll add but could signal that the person is in casual mood...perhaps could contribute to road safety in some way...just thinking out loud here...we can do that right? it's a free world, or so i think...
and another thing, when the surf mode is on, users could perhaps design/recommend/build their driveways in a particular region...so say im headed to a new place, got a car on me, looking for a nice ride maybe outside the busy areas, so i could just activate the surf mode n start checking recommendations/driveways themed 'outskirts' , heaven driveway or whatever name it is other app users give to their 'paths' / driveways...other users using those driveways could then rate those paths ... n this would encourage participation, which is imp for marketing the new app...
next is the mode where you need to be somewhere n in that phase, you could signal some kind of red led telling people you've locked on a destination n are heading to someplace...people would get clear signal as to where you're headed or what's on your mind while you're in the car...
what do you guys make of that? lol perhaps some day, something like this may turn up...
