Do people still actually buy stuff from a physical store??? Like go outside and go into an actual store with other people shoving an smelling an staring, probably packing heat???

Depends on the item, but sure. I just drove by a local mall and the parking lot at 2 in the afternoon on a weekday was probably 75% full, and I highly doubt all the people parked there were ALL at Cheesecake Factory

I buy online and in-store. All depends on what is needed, how fast it is needed, the price, the ratings, does something big need delivered, is the delivery free, etc.

While you can buy groceries online, that probably won't be a draw for me. I like to read labels and am pretty picky about fresh produce and meat. Then, too, there are around five grocery stores in my area, letting me spend a heck of a lot less on groceries with sales, coupons and BOGO deals.

Guess I only needed to say, it all depends on a lot of factors

I love to shop in store, beacuse you can pick what you really want not seeing it on a picture like in online. Better to fit in store than in online, what if you did not get your actual size coz some garments are not the same as you wear. Also need to deliver it and wait for the item while in store you can choose, pay and you have it.

I've owned a retail store for about 15 years. Not one person has ever stopped by and bought something. Everyone buys online now.

I go to Wal-Mart....completely empty. I thank you for bein the one to finally get this out to the public.....who never goes into retail stores.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

It's all that shoving, smelling and staring you do in your store, puts people off.

If I know what I want I will often buy online and opt for in-store pickup if it's a website for a retail store in my area. That way I can get it right away and have it reserved for me, no out of stock wasted trip.

It is not his fault some of his evil minions don't heed his advice?

What we run into, is customers shopping online, finding us...and just buying from us. But that's because local shoppers (for our product) see our store online for most of the first page of a Google search.

They are actually going online...to buy online, and they end up here, in our store.

We also get lots of people shop here, then go online to get a better price, and then ask if we will match it.

I know that. I was actually explaining your superb online marketing strategy to a woman who has just self published a book. Make a bunch of video's on the subject I said, use the same set of keywords, first page of google pretty much a cert. Have just started reading this book. The selection of keywords is going to be difficult.

She had a son, very close, who became addicted to heroin and commited suicide aged 31. She went though this journey with him. Then, because she was a sensitive/medium he made contact after death and poured out all these observations on addiction. So the book is not so much about life in the hereafter as a discourse on the nature of addiction from the perspective of going through it on earth and then looking back on it from the afterlife.

Anyway, I know you will scoff at this but if you suspend disbelief for a second and think about it, I'm interested to read what will be said about addiction from the alleged perspective of being able to look at it objectively without being remotely influenced or involved in it.

The books called The Hero-in Heroin (The Heroin Heroin) and you can get it from amazon in paperback or kindle. The writings good.

Anyway, from a marketing point of view, how do you pitch or categorize this? What keywords? It's really difficult.

First, it's a terrible title. I get why it was picked, it's sort of clever...but it gives the reader no idea what the book is about. The Hero in Heroin: is killing the sales. And I don't need a seance to know that.

Anyway, the keywords; medium, ghost, seance, drug addiction, suicide, supernatural are useful.

The title is damaging the message. She can change the title with a few clicks.

The Hero in Heroin: A Mother and Son's Journey on Both Sides of the Veil appeals to one person, the author. Nobody cares about her journey. People want a message of hope. They want to know how this book will relieve their pain. The title has to answer the question; "What do I get from this book?". And the people reading the book? They have their own problems. Nobody cares about the author's problems. They want the author to give them a solution to their problems. These people are grasping at straws for help. That help needs to be offered in the title.

Like; Beyond Addiction; My Son's Message Of Hope About Addiction From The Other Side.

People will buy that title. No charge.

The absolute best thing you can do for the author, is convince her to join the Warrior Book Club. It gives incredible ideas to make a Kindle book sell. I've got a lot out of it.

Many thanks, great insights. I passed that on, her first foray into this lark. I shall waive my normal fees for the next 10 insults.
