"In my humble opinion, I believe that I am one of the strongest SEO writers in the entire country at this time. I've helped thousands of major businesses throughout the years bring in billions in revenue."

I thought I had an ego. I've just been dwarfed. lol I can only hope to someday rise to that profound level of humility.

Cheers. - Frank

For such a highly esteemed writer (at least in his own eyes), it's quite amusing that he clearly doesn't know the definition of the word "humble"...

For a moment, I thought maybe I wrote it....and then I saw the word "humble", and knew it wasn't me.

"In my humble opinion, I believe that I am" Back when I was a kid I asked my old pop along the lines of how good he was (for his day he done well), his reply went along these lines and I never forgot them.

"I can't judge myself son, I can only be judged by the people around me" or words similar, since then and often but not all cases people who self title often have little but nothing going for them, so they will grasp at about anything to pin to their hollow chest in the endeavour to feel important.

It's like this guy I know, he's so self unaware, he tells people he's a Master Salesman. What a blowhard.

PS. Your Dad sounded like a bright man. But the reason you see marketers blowing their own horn, isn't to feel important, but to position themselves, and create a persona.

I blow my own horn (at least on this forum) because I think it's funny. I think bragging and inflating your accomplishments is hilarious. Even when I do it. Pomposity is always funny.

I'm a copywriter and I would take issue with the part about helping companies bring in Billions.

I've been writing copy for over 30 years. I've got clients (yes plural) doing over a mil a month from a single letter. I built an international nutritional supplement mlm and more etc.. I've even written copy for fortune 100 co's let alone fortune 500 and I still would be taken aback if the billions part were true.

To have your copy, SEO or otherwise be directly responsible for billions would be news to the best copywriters out there.

The truth of the matter is that, unless the letter is INCREDIBLY remarkable and drives a LOT of unusual traffic(NOT just volume, but SOURCE), you can't really take a lot of credit for an increase. MOST of the time, such unusual traffic is due to a relationship, rumor, CHANCE, or some scam or gimic. If I were really into SEO and happened across that, I might be proud, might crow, but I would not be so arrogant as to credit myself with all, and likely not the majority, of benefit of it.

At LEAST he said "ONE OF", and limited it to the country. He ALSO said "HELP".

Agreed. I was not meaning to infer that my copy without traffic could do even my paltry by comparison numbers. I have a client that has an ad spend in the hundreds of thousands per month and is selling a medium ticket physical product with a back end to get those numbers.
