I have been working out over a year and I was finally able to Bench 315lbs. I would like to know who else can bench 315 or could bench 315 and how long it took you to achieve that

What's your weight? If you're 1:1 that's expected. If not, sick lift bro.

    I got to 285 bench 390 squat and a 430 dead lift at 164lbs when I was 24.

It took training for 4 years to get there. I started out at 118lbs though. Skin & bones coming off drugs.

My goals were 300/400/500 no hormones.

Had a kid and haven't been back. ;/

I've taken up Yoga and actually enjoy it more than lifting.

In my early 30s, I topped at 225...at a body weight of 180, maybe. It took a year or so.

A 315 bench would get you an approving nod in any hard core gym. Congratulations.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Damn, that is a respectable lift then. Props.

Now see how many times you can do 225....that's what I like to do now. My record is 17 times without stopping (and no help from a spot).

Nice work on 315! If you were using 45lb plates, it looks awesome to be able to have 3 plates on each side!

At 225 lbs, I had a friend spot me, and I did about 8 reps. Honestly, he helped quite a lot on most of the reps. I said, "Let me get one more rep".

He said, "I don't know if I can do one more rep". I burst out laughing, and almost dropped the bar on my chest.

225 was my max. But when I could bench 225, I could also bench 135...100 times without stopping. I always assumed it was from the muscle endurance built from capillary growth.

I don't say this to make you guys jealous, but to inspire you. I want you to see what's possible if you put your mind to it, and continue on with dogged determination.

          Persistence, people.

          It pays off.

Iam not trying to question you but are you getting confused here ?

Dan and his wife pushing on the other end of the barbell doesn't count

135lbs for 100 times is extraordinarily amazing.

That means you should be able to do 270lbs for 50 reps, no ???

I don't think it works that way.

Yeah, Like Cam says, it doesn't work that way. (I think you already know this, and are playing with me)

I wonder if I could have benched 68 pounds for 200 reps?

But I remember, at my best, benching (I think) 185 for 10 or 12 reps. There may be a formula for all this, but I have no idea what it is.
