Having changed computer to a Windows 8.1 version, I needed to uninstall my XSite Pro software from the old computer, as required by XSite Pro, to enable a new installation of the software on the new one, however, a new installation is not available as I keep getting a warning that the uninstalled feature was not successful. When the uninstall was performed it indicated the action was successful. XSite Pro software is no longer being supported since 2014. I still have the codes required to complete a new installation. Any suggestions will be appreciated to remedy my problem...

Clair, I tried the link for the Intellimon knowledgebase on how to reinstall XSitePro, but it's dead. As you know, the software hasn't been updated for some time, and now no longer exists, so I wouldn't rely on any of the features continuing to work.

My advice is to look for another web design program to install on your new computer. Even if you manage to reinstall your old version of XSitePro, it's likely to cause you more problems than it's worth going forward. It's a shame, but it was a pretty good piece of software in its day.

The advantages X Site Pro had in it's day have long been superseded. Wordpress is the way to go now. I use Wordpress and having created one site and configuring the way I like, I use Backup Creator to clone all the settings of a base site and just swop out the descriptions, Tags's, colors and header etc. Making a new site is exceptionally fast.

I have been using XSite Pro 2.5 for an extended period of time and I am aware of its extinction.
My domain will remain but the function and business will change to e-commerce in WP.
My question is that how can I replace the website with WP and also change all its content.
Do I need to go back to my hosting (BH) to do that and start everything as new e.g. install the WP in it.
Do I need to wipe clean everything.?

Verv, check this lady out. She's done some XsiteProp to Wordpress conversions.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.
