Without www browser will not be able to find out the website and this problem is correctable by the domain holder.WWW is stands for world wide web which simply means with the help of www traffic might be increased.

you can go to your domain control panel with your Registrar and add WWW CNAME record to your DNS records if you wish. It is not needed, because your website opens both with and without www by default... but you can do it.

      Bullshit.

domain. com is DNS record for A - IP address. When you type domain.com, your browser searches for its IP address and opens it

WWW .domain. com is for CNAME DNS record, which reroutes browser to domain.com

it has nothing to do with traffic.

OK, you want to know the TRUTH?

The BASE system IP is, by convention, reflected in the 2nd level domain! That means the one WITHOUT the WWW! Because of load balancing, and because so many services may hit a given system, they have a NEXT level domain specifier for that. The standard for the primary system THERE is like www, ftp, smtp, etc.... You have probably seen SEVERAL such examples! SOME systems even have like ww2, etc... which is often for load balancing.

Because SO many will likely hit the main WWW site, etc... The primary, and www secondary, often go to the SAME IP and system. So what does all that mean? WELL, SOME systems may treat EACH domain differently, so the primary, www secondary, ww2 secondary, ww3 secondary, etc... may be recorded separately and make it appear that you are getting less traffic than you are. ALSO, SSL certs almost certainly ****WILL**** error out incorrectly! The cert will work, and identify your system, but visitors will get a nasty warning!

So you SHOULD pay attention to this, ESPECIALLY if you use an SSL cert, but it is usually transparent. You DO have to set it up correctly, but most hosts do that behind the scenes.

The domain name we buy is called Naked Domain. We can then create its sub-domains, use email service for it, update its DNS resource records and much more. The main purpose of domain name is to represent the IP resource. It gives easier way to access a website and URLs. There are neutral domains (.com, .org, .net, .info etc.) as well as country targeted domains (like .in, .co.in, .co.uk etc.).

When we use a domain without WWW, we use it in its Naked Form. It acts as a directory too. WWW is like any other sub-domain of it.
For example, wikipedia.org is naked domain while Wikipedia, en.wikipedia.org are all sub-domains of it.
