anyone using iMac here ? Do you have this problem?

think back my iMac is like 2011 version.

I noticed my power button has to press a lot of time in order to turn on.

perhaps due to aging .

I ask around in apple clinic some iMac users also facing the same issue.

    Switches go bad. I leave my Macs on for many months at a time and when I do restart them I use the menu command. Hardly ever use the power button, at all.

    Even if out of Apple Care it should be a very minor fix. I hope so.

      that means you never off your i mac , just left it to Sleep mode.

      if hang etc, just do restart from the OS X right

        Well I have a Mac Pro, but same thing. I never turn it off.

        No - they can hang so if you can't use the power button, set it to 'Sleep - Never' and just turn the monitor brightness down if you leave the machine unattended for long periods - 12 hours or more.

          huh surprised mac pro power button also have this same problem or power button intermittence?

            That's not what I said. I just never turn my machines off. No reason to. Personally, I have never had a power button issue.
