Yes, if the dog barks all night do this!!!! Don't teach it not to bark or sell it, just as bad as some morons over here that use a nail gun to put their dog down than pay the amount to get a vet to do it!

Pretty simple, if you have a pet expect big bills sometimes or don't get it!!

Or they should go buy something small, to match their IQ?

And the bigger the pet, the bigger the bills. We restocked our Golden's food supply last night - food, snacks, etc. $150.00 and will last about 2 weeks.

We spend more on vet bills than doctor bills for our 11 year old son (our Goldie gets ear infections and has skin allergies that give him dry patches).

All those bills are worth every penny. He's an amazing dog - even with the twice a day LARGE lumps of crap I have to pick up

Oh and Sal...I don't want to become extinct. There are for sure some people out there that deserve to disappear but in the grand scheme of things it's a small number compared to the GOOD people in the world.

I'd look into preventative measures for the ear infections and skin allergies. Floppy eared dogs get a build up of humidity in the ear canal, and foreign objects if they roll on the ground or sniff tall flora and fauna. Maybe different food and add fish oils for the skin.

Yeah, we've been trying some recommendations from the vet. For the skin, one thing that was recommended was to keep him shaved. Just because Goldens are known for their long hair doesn't mean he has to have it. This alone has helped. Another thing was a change in food. Apparently poultry based foods can be a cause for the skin issues. Since we did these two things he's not had the dry patches.

As for the ear infections, we think they were related to the dry skin. He would scratch himself raw, and that included when he would scratch his ears. Sometimes he would actually gash himself inside his ear while scratching. But again, the changes we made seem to be helping a lot.

The next hurdle are the bad hips and joints, which this species are known for. He's 8 now and it's progressing. But he's still a happy dog

I have no idea what you just said -....

If a dog barks all night - it's because there is something wrong. There is a need to defend or, more likely in this case, a cry for help or food or water or attention.

Pet owners like this one should be tied up on a short chain...for several nights.

Eh. A roll of duct tape, a pair of pliers, and a box cutter ought to do.

Yes, brings back memories, of holding my breath, and a large shovel?

Also brings back memories of lugging heavy cans of dog food around.

Totally agree. Either that or just go out and shoot the SOB!
I've seen pictures of animal abuse, but think that one is the most outrageous I've ever seen. Don't think I'll ever be able to get that picture out of my mind!

When I saw the dog had its mouth taped, I had NO idea it was to this degree. Perhaps they should do the same to the person that did this, but have it to FOUR appendages, and have them go into the freezing cold, naked
