As a Christian this makes me feel queasy and ill.

Really.

All this Prosperity Faith is sickening. i.e If you show enough Faithfulness to God you will be blessed with great Wealth

This guy is an idiot and his 30K congregation are bunch of fools to follow this Charlatan and give him the money to buy it.

Quote : "We plan to acquire a Gulfstream G650 because it is the best, and it is a reflection of the level of excellence at which this organization chooses to operate."

Quote :"We wholeheartedly reject the notion that the ministry's airplane project is an imposition on our community or that it somehow takes advantage of our people. We will purchase the Gulfstream G650 at a time, place and price of our choosing.""

And as an atheist, I think it's funny.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

I think that is also another feeling I do have after the initial queasiness wears off.

It is ironic that Creflo is really playing with these peoples' heartstrings... by saying you give me $300 to get this $65 million jet and you will be blessed beyond your wildest dreams by being faithful.

Funny story one of my best friend's mom was an hardcore Evangelist. She truly believed if she went around and handed out $20 bills to random people, God would then send someone to knock on her door and give her the deed to a brand new house.

It never did materialize. Sad but funny also

I'll go $200 and fly coach, or the cheapest charter available if I needed to get somewhere off the regularly scheduled flights.

A long time ago, I watched Creflo some and liked what he said back then. Recent actions, not so much.

Well, I went to a seminar once. The guy probably got a fortune for teaching us a bit about sales. I forget his whole point, but he spoke of how he ALWAYS WANTED a jet! One day, as he got off the jet, he was handed a bill for tens of thousands of dollars. He thought it must be for the plane, etc... It was for FUEL! He quickly sold it!

As for creflo dollar, etc? They do SOOOOO much against christianity. They really aren't christians. And creflo speaks like a con man. One hall mark of a con man is that they ignore a question and twist the facts to show something that they think can be personalized and something the listener would APPRECIATE were that the case. SO, with his buying a plane, he might say that it will allow them to grow so they can help more people, and that it would be a good thing for the church to show as an accomplishment, etc.... Just don't speak about the expense, trouble, or lack of real utility.

Did not think about that. What - $100,000 a month to operate it and pay pilots... depending upon how much he flies

      2 Timothy 4:3 (CJB)

3 For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear.
Scratching itching ears can be a lucrative endeavor.

      2 Timothy 4:3-5 (PHILLIPS)

3-5 For the time is coming when men will not tolerate wholesome teaching. They will want something to tickle their own fancies, and they will collect teachers who will pander to their own desires. They will no longer listen to the truth, but will wander off after man-made fictions.
