i was actually thinking about him and the other guy....Vincent Price the other week. Shame but 93...what a great age to live to. What a career he had. I loved the old Dracula films 1960-1970's with Peter Cushin.

Yeah, the old Hammer Horror films were great. Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and Vincent Price were great actors that had real screen presence.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

RIP Christopher Lee (or will he?) Fangs for the memory.

My mother attended a British film stars garden party in the 50's. A young Lee was there, and she got a signed photo.

      Ron Moody, the definitive Fagin.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Actually that was in the late 40's when he was an up and coming young actor. I'm 58. Mother must have been in her teens.

The correct phrase is in YOUR OWN DAMN SIG LINE and, yet, you still can't get it right.

                Ahem!

As the person who invented the whole thing, I can play with it in any way I want. You just gave it a definition.

I even put your definition in my Sig, to give your meager life some meaning.

In fact, I strongly suspect that you made me up completely, to provide a foil to trade insults with.

Just as Stan Lee invented Spider-Man...you invented me. Has anyone besides you here ever met me? No. I rest my case.

You didn't invent being a jackass. You just perfected it.

  • RIP. He will be missed.
Don't you all agree that a movie/a song etc. starts to feel different once you know the peson playing it is dead?

You beat me to this one. I had to check it out first because the last two deaths I announced were very, very old news I thought was new because I didn't know.

Christopher Lee was an Icon here.

    RIP Christopher.
    RIP Ron.

    Congratulations on long meaningful lives.

It could be they were searching for a relative to inform, because Sir Lee's death was on Sunday and the news just started making the rounds this morning.

I thought Lee was a good actor, and that was about it...until I learned he had made his first metal album in his 80s. The album was on Youtube for awhile and I listened to it. Lee has a way of bellowing out his lyrics rather than singing them, and it works well for that genre.

I haven't gotten around to listening to his "A Heavy Metal Christmas Too".

That is a HUGE "yeah, you were saying?" rebuttal to anyone including me who thinks they're "too old" for trying something new.

He's right about comedy being the hardest. Trying to deliver another person's script as you are being funny, is a very difficult thing to do.

And although Christopher Lee was a very accomplished actor, I can't imagine him as funny.

I just realized that I've seen every film with Lee and Peter Cushing. The Hammer Horror films are some of the best I've ever seen.

Christopher Lee was almost cast as Magneto in the X-Men movies. Wouldn't he have been magnificent?

Dan Riffle is soooo glad they cast Ian McKellen in the part. I have no idea why.
