Well, Lexi is growing and the pain is slight, but she is getting so big.

My pain reliever is that she is still too stinkin' cute!!

See? I told ya!

She's in the garage in front of a cabinet thingy I got from my grama and haven't decided what to do with yet.

She's the picture of a healthy and totally alert pooch - hard to believe now how close she came to not surviving, isnt' it?

What a lovable little face she has!

Yeah, it is hard to believe that, Kay. As a matter of fact, every time I do think of it, I tear up!

But she is growing up into an adorable, smart, lovable, funny, young lady doggie and I couldn't be happier. I can't even imagine life without her.

She's going to go on her first vacation next weekend. She's been invited to my sister's cabin on Houghton Lake for the 4th of July weekend. When she RSVP'd, she insisted her mommy and daddy come too, or she'd have to decline, lol!

So hubby and I get to tag along, haha!

Prediction: Lexi will be spoiled rotten on the lake vacation!

Funny how it worked out - ups and downs - but you got the pup you were meant to have and she ended up in the best forever home she could find.

I do so love her beautiful face, Terra. Our previous pup was part GS and part Beagle, so she had a lovely face as well, I can't even begin to say how much we miss her. That translates into random total strangers coming up uninvited and petting her without asking, saying stuff like, I can just tell this is a nice dog. Ours, of course, was a lot larger, but Lexi's face just translates to "I'm very friendly."

I'm sure you're right and I predict it won't be just us spoiling her.

I would do those downs all over again in a heartbeat just to have her.

I think it was destiny we found each other, seriously!

I'm sorry you miss your pup. Anytime you want, just let me know and I'll send you or post a new pic if they bring back good memories.

We have people stop us all of the time to get a longer look at her and to pet her as well. They say she is so cute, they can't resist. =)

                LOL, Joe!

                You've got me perplexed here.

I'm not sure whether to be more flattered that you called me gorgeous, or more dejected because you referred to me as a critter, haha!

No need to feel dejected. All meant in humorous, friendly banter.

I knew that, silly. I was playing too.

I'm proud to announce that we had a big family bash today celebrating my son's 26th birthday and my sister's oldest granddaughter's high school graduation and Lexi was so well behaved!

So well behaved that it was the second highest compliment she received today right after how adorable she was.

                      She did me proud.

Terra, if you keep posting pics of that adorable pup I may just have to go get one!

She's just too darn cute!!! Love the head tilt!

(Btw, not complaining about the pics!! They always make me smile!)

Oooooh! Yes, get a puppy. I highly recommend it!

I love when her head tilts too. Just one of the many things I love about her is how expressive she is not only with hers eyes, but with her whole face.

You do realize that all dogs do that, right.

                            It translates to, "Whatchulookinat, Willis?'

It's sort of like being a parent of a little baby or kid. They do something and it's so cute and funny and precious to the parent. While all little ones do the same thing, the parent isn't focusing on that, just their little one.

Lexi's translates to, "What the heck you doin?"
