So we got a flat tire today...
But anyway, it reminded me of how much I love my husband! He got out, jacked up the car, changed the tire, smile on his face because, looking on the bright side, it happened today and not yesterday.
Yesterday was a cold, rainy - as in STORMY - day, so I'd have had to stand outside with him in the rain and hold the huge golf umbrella over him while he worked, which I would have done if I'd been with him.
But today was a beautiful, sunny, breezy 75 degree day, so I was able to stand outside with him and chit chat while he changed the tire. And it only took him about 15 min. and we were back on the road.
He keeps tools in the car and a container of hand cleaner and rags - just in case, so he was able to clean up before we got going again.
When we got back in the car, I told him, 'And that's why I married you. I would never have married a computer yuppie office type who would be afraid to get dirty!'
In fact, that was in the description of my personals ad I'd put online 13+ years ago (which is how we met): "Must be mechanically inclined, not afraid to get dirty..."
So I just wanted to share that.
