As IM I feel as long the computer can do the tasks is good enough.

Recently I noticed my iMac kinda slow
free of virus
etc

maybe due to the new OS X because I heard is more cater for SSD whereas my is 2011 iMac

this is my thoughts how about you.

My computer is way too fast!

It falls instantly for anyone offering it a sparkling rose. I told it to knock it off before it gets a bad reputation and that it needs to play the cyber field.

I'm pimped out too. This setup opens Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop in about 1 second.

The real question is can you keep up with a fast computer? Or is any speed wasted on you?

Oh, I didn't know we were doing monitors. lol. I started with two, Apple 31" Hi-def Cinema Displays, but found it to be overkill and went with one. I put the other one into service on my other workstation.

Damn you Frank. Until today, I was over the moon with my full, glorious 28"

Greetings. Hate to start your day off with a crying jag, but I'm contemplating using my $79 Apple TV to hook up a 70" LG HDTV as my monitor. The whole rig costs less than that monitor you are considering. :-)

That should cure my vision problems.

          Cheers. - Frank

I have done that at home before for gaming or skype'ing distant relatives (coincidentally enough, I have a 70" screen in my living room too). Don't need anything more than an HDMI cable to make that work.

For work though, that would officially be overkill. I still need something that fits on my desk at the office.

Maybe the next logical move would be the Oculus Rift...

Or, a much larger desk. :-)

Well, I just challenged my computer to a foot race. I won, so it must not be all that quick. In fact, it just sat there at the starting line like a hump. I've renamed it "Claude."

Not a good idea to backup to the Claude, you might get a flash drive in your usb port.
